    Savannah Wiener Dog Races If you have a Wiener or almost Wiener dog, you cannot miss this fun event! Dog owners from all over will flock to River Street to join the big race. All Dachshunds will be grouped by weight and must be less than 25 lbs to participate. In addition to racing awards, there will be other contests such as best-dressed dog, best-dressed dog owner, and more. Dachshund-mix dogs may race in special “Almost Wiener” heat, but are ineligible for the grand prize trophy run.
