A dozen ice sculptures will be on display in front of businesses in town. Please note that the duration of the ice art is dependent on the weather.

If you're attending the Blowing Rock WinterFest with Fido, don't miss the annual Polar Bear Plunge at Chetola Lake! Leashed dogs are welcome as spectators to watch brave human participants take a daring dip into icy waters. Spend the weekend in a dog-friendly room on site at Chetola Resort! The plunge starts at 10 AM and plungers must be checked-in by 9:30 AM.

Bring Fido to the Village of Blowing Rock to celebrate the fun side of winter at this annual event! Activities throughout the weekend include the WinterPaws Dog Show, ice carvings at the Artisan Ice Stroll, an icy Polar Bear Plunge in Chetola Lake, a winter beer garden, and more. Not all activities are dog friendly, so be sure to inquire first before bringing Fido.
