The Laconia Pumpkin Festival, formerly the New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival, welcomes leashed pups to celebrate the season! Expect thousands of glowing carved pumpkins, including the iconic pumpkin tower, live music (plus laser shows and dancing witches), festive parades for kids and costumed pets, artisan and food vendors, the Pumpkin Express train, games like corn-hole and craft stations, and a beer garden.

Enjoy Trunk-or-Treat for dogs, decorate Halloween dog cookies ($5, benefiting Long Journey Animal Rescue), free doggie mocktails, a pet costume contest and dog/owner games with prizes, and a spooky pet photo fundraiser. Refreshments, mini trick-or-treat bags, and special event discounts make this a festive, family- and pet-friendly celebration. All dogs must be leashed and vaccinated.

Bring Fido to this annual autumn festival featuring family-friendly activities, including DogtoberFest, a parade of costumed dogs. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment, a classic car show, an artisan craft fair, food trucks, children's activities, and seasonal fun throughout town.

Leashed dogs are welcome the first Friday of every month from May through November when businesses are encouraged to stay open late and the streets come alive with food trucks, live performances, art displays and other activities.

Grab your hiking shoes and Fido’s leash for a fun-filled trail adventure! Enjoy scenic paths with water stations along the way, a photo booth for memorable moments, and tasty treats at the finish line. You’ll get an orange trail beanie, your pup gets a matching bandana, and together you’ll learn hiking etiquette and safety tips.

The Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume. Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash. Check in starts at 8 AM and the race begins at 9 AM.
