Dog Events in Washington, OK

Grab your sneakers and Fido's leash to participate in a timed 5K or 1-mile walk at this heartfelt event created in honor of a beloved pup named Poppy. This race began as a way for Poppy’s devoted owner to give back after her puppy survived Parvo with the help of a veterinary assistance program. Since then, it’s grown into a powerful fundraiser supporting local rescues that help animals in need. Register by September 15, 2026, to receive a race t-shirt and swag bag!

Well-behaved, leashed dogs are invited to this spooktacular event featuring a doggy costume contest, candy and loads of fun! Two- and four-legged attendees can participate in activities, chow down on treats from food trucks, check out local vendors and more.

All registered racing Wiener dogs are welcome the Sunday only of Oktoberfest to zip, zag, and run to the finish line! Your Dachshund will be given a numbered hot dog bun costume and run 150 feet from one end of the Dash to the other. Dogs will run in heats of five to six pups. Wieners (winners) receive prizes! Pre-registration is required.

Gobble your way through scenic vineyards, where each mile is paired with a sip of something delicious. Fido is welcome to join you at this race, but please note that dogs must remain leashed and aren't permitted inside winery buildings.

On these select days, leashed pups are welcome to stroll, sniff, and explore the beautiful garden grounds alongside their humans. It's a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors together in a peaceful, scenic setting. Dogs must be on a non-retractable leash, with a limit of two dogs per household, and owners are expected to clean up after their pets.
