Bring your Wiener dog to the race that determines Denver’s fastest Dachshunds at the Denver Oktoberfest, held each Sunday of the festival! Awards will be given to the champions. Dog owners must pre-register and current vaccination records and registration must be provided by the owners on race day. Don't have a Dachshund, don't worry - your pup can still compete in the Long Dog Derby Costume Contest. Registration begins at 11:00 AM.

The dog-friendly Denver Oktoberfest is a two-weekend festival that traditional activities like stein hoisting, keg bowling, a costume contest, and the crowd-favorite Long Dog Derby. Attendees can enjoy live music ranging from polka to silent disco, indulge in German fare such as bratwursts and pretzels, and explore a variety of vendor booths.

This dog-friendly event features free Doxie Dash races where all participating dogs receive an award, with blue ribbons going to the first-place winner of each heat. Guests can also cheer on the racers, meet fellow Dachshund lovers and enjoy a fun morning supporting Mile High Dachshunds Rescue.

The event will feature the Fun Dog Show with prizes for costumes, tricks, and more, plus a bustling Vendor Village with unique pet products from local businesses. Attendees can enjoy live DJ music, food trucks, a beer garden, and even meet adoptable pups from nearby shelters. A portion of the proceeds supports Soul Dog Rescue, so you can have a great time while giving back.

Growloween is one of the largest Halloween event in Denver for dogs! Enjoy trick-or-treating with Fido around the LoHi neighborhood. There's also a costume contest with prizes awarded for in categories for small, medium and large dogs, and group costumes!

Bring Fido to this arts and crafts fair, featuring 130+ artisans, makers, and creatives each day! Enjoy live sets from female music creator DJ CYN, cocktail bars, food trucks, the Astro Coffee Van, Aura photos and an art gallery. Pets are welcome indoors—just be mindful of large crowds.

The Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume. Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash. Check-in starts at 8 AM and the race begins at 9:30 AM.
