On Saturdays throughout the summer, enjoy a morning excursion with your furry best friend, admiring the plants and exploring the trails. Dogs must be leashed, licensed, up-to-date on vaccinations and cleaned up after. Water fountains and refill stations are located throughout the garden for your convenience, and pet strollers are welcome. Please note that dogs aren't permitted at Gertrude’s, The RAF Gallery, Butterfly Pavilion or Cactus Clubhouse. Dogs are only allowed at Desert Botanical Garden during special Dog Days events.

Cheer on dozens of speedy Dachshunds during the Four Peaks Oktoberfest. Registered Dachshunds—and dogs 12 inches or shorter in the "Low Center of Gravity" division—race for glory while spectators enjoy the excitement. Only dogs that have pre-registered will be able to enter the event and participate.

Leashed, well-behaved pups are welcome in the outdoor park areas during this annual festival! There will be music performances throughout the day, food, art, crafts, merchants and more.

Bring Fido along for a day of fun featuring dog races, photo ops, an agility course, contests, a bone bar, food and beverages, prizes, giveaways, and more, benefiting local animal rescues! Dog races will be held at designated times with several breed and size time slots to choose from.
