There are multiple spigots for freshwater throughout the garden, but bring your own bowl to keep Fido hydrated. Dogs need to remain leashed. The Washington Pug Meetup Bring your Pug, Puggle or pug-loving four-legged sibling out for a play date! The meetup will be in front of the puppy area at Shirlington Park. Fido can run and play with his friends in the fenced area. See Details
Dog Days at Ferry Farm Bring Fido for a day of fun at the farm! Explore the nature trails that lead around the fields and along the Rappahannock River during this discounted admission day for you and your pup. Dogs must be leashed on the property grounds. This event will take place on April 13 an October 12. See Details
Bark in the Park with Norfolk Tides Take Fido out to a basebally game! Proceeds from dog tickets are donated to a local dog charity. Dog-friendly sections are 215-223 (3rd base side next to the Picnic/3B entrance). All dogs must enter the ballpark through the 3rd base entrance and remain leashed while at Harbor Park. Bark in the Park dates for 2024 are: April 14th, May 28th, June 11th, July 1st, August 25th, and September 22nd. See Details
Art in the Park Join the City of Fredericksburg’s Farmers Market for an event that will showcase local artists and crafters. Leashed dogs are welcome to attend. The event will take place the first and third Saturdays of the month until the end of October. See Details

Pack Walk Four-legged friends and their owners are invited to join this community walk! Every week, pet lovers gather to enjoy a stroll through town where they can socialize while exercising with pup pals. This event is weather permitting and may be canceled due to the forecast. See Details
Fidos After 5 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden Enjoy walking the grounds with Fido while listening to live music. All dogs must be on a non-retractable leash and current on rabies vaccinations. Please note that dogs are welcome in the Robins Visitor Center and Conservatory, but not the Kelly Education Center building. No outside food or drink is allowed inside the Garden; food and drink will be available for purchase. This event takes place June 13th and 27th; July 11th and 25th; August 8th; September 12th and 26th; and October 10th and 24th. See Details
Movie Nights at Arlington Mill Community Center Bring Fido for a night out under the stars to watch a movie! Remember to pack a chair or blanket for comfort. Fleetwood Mac Tribute: Rumours LA at Dr Pepper Park Bring Fido to the concert! Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome in the general admission area. All shows are rain or shine.
