Pet Friendly Norfolk Botanical Gardens' Sunday Dog Days
Norfolk Botanical Gardens' Sunday Dog Days Enjoy the grounds of the Norfolk Botanical Garden with your furry friend! There are multiple spigots for freshwater throughout the garden, but bring your own bowl to keep Fido hydrated. Dogs need to remain leashed. Please note that Fido isn't permitted in the Children’s Garden, Butterfly House, on trams or boats, or during the Garden of Lights season. See Details
Pet Friendly The Washington Pug Meetup
The Washington Pug Meetup Bring your Pug, Puggle or pug-loving four-legged sibling out for a play date! The meetup will be in front of the puppy area at Shirlington Park. Fido can run and play with his friends in the fenced area. See Details
Art in the Park Join the City of Fredericksburg’s Farmers Market for an event that will showcase local artists and crafters. Leashed dogs are welcome to attend. The event will take place the first and third Saturdays of the month until the end of October. See Details
Pack Walk Four-legged friends and their owners are invited to join this community walk! Every week, pet lovers gather to enjoy a stroll through town where they can socialize while exercising with pup pals. This event is weather permitting and may be canceled due to the forecast. See Details
Fidos After 5 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden Enjoy walking the grounds with Fido while listening to live music. All dogs must be on a non-retractable leash and current on rabies vaccinations. Please note that dogs are welcome in the Robins Visitor Center and Conservatory, but not the Kelly Education Center building. No outside food or drink is allowed inside the Garden; food and drink will be available for purchase. This event takes place June 13th and 27th; July 11th and 25th; August 8th; September 12th and 26th; and October 10th and 24th. See Details
Yappy Hour at October One Vineyard Your pup is welcome to join you for a glass of wine or a tasting of their single varietal or local/state wine. The Humane Society will have a table at the event, making it the perfect spot to meet other pet parents. See Details
Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival Along with a large pumpkin patch, there are a variety of other activities to enjoy on the farm. You can shop from local vendors, check out arts & crafts, listen to live music, indulge in delicious food & drinks, watch demonstrations, navigate the corn maze, take a hayride, and bring the kids for a trunk or treat. Paw-toberfest This fundraising festival will feature fun activities for you and Fido, like pet art stations, nail trim booths, a pet and owner costume contest, adoptable pets and more! See Details
5k Beer Run x Dynasty Brewing Run, jog or just take a stroll with your canine friend at this 5K event! Register online in advance and check in before the race. Once you cross the finish line, you'll receive a free craft beer from Dynasty Brewing, a choice of a collector’s pint glass or seasonal swag item from the Brewery Running Series, a chance to win sweet door prizes, and access to event festivities like live music, games, goodies and giveaways. Dog Days at Ferry Farm Bring Fido for a day of fun at the farm! Explore the nature trails that lead around the fields and along the Rappahannock River during this discounted admission day for you and your pup. Dogs must be leashed on the property grounds. K9s in the Vines Bring Fido out for a special dog stroll through the vineyard! Stop at tasting stations throughout and enjoy samples of estate wines. Stephen Pearcy of RATT at Dr Pepper Park Bring Fido to the concert! Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome in the general admission area. All shows are rain or shine. The schedule is subject to change without notice. Outside food and beverages aren't permitted. Guests are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair, or rent a chair for $5 at concessions. See Details
Anthem GO Outside Festival Wander with Fido through downtown Roanoke for three days to try your hand at endless outdoor activities. Test drive a bike, demo a stand-up paddleboard, learn to fly cast, join a race, and sample craft beer all in one afternoon. Fall Pet Fair Enjoy a fun fall day in the park with your pet. There will be games, activities, contests, food, music, vendors and so much fun! Just like a real fair, your dog will use midway tickets to participate in the games and activities at the event. See Details

Harvest Party Indulge in the flavors of Virginia with Fido while you celebrate local products and let your taste buds revel in the richness of the region’s offerings. Live music will be held under the pavilion from 1:00 to 4:00 PM by Kailey Conner, and Cousins Maine Lobster food truck will be serving coastal cuisine. See Details
FXBG Pet Palooza Bring Fido and the family along to explore the latest pet merchandise, treats and toys! There will also be opportunities to rescue or adopt pets from various organizations dedicated to finding loving homes for their animals. See Details
Petoberfest All are welcome to attend and enjoy family- and pet-friendly activities, including a pet parade and costume contest, lure and agility courses, pet exhibitors and rescues, children’s entertainment, and much more. Pet photo booth donations will benefit the Prince William SPCA. All pets in attendance must be leashed, and pet parade and costume contest participants must check in at 3:15 PM. Scott's Addition Pumpkin Festival BringFido for a day full of Fall Harvest Fun with live music, activities, local food trucks, cold beer + cocktails, and a costume contest! The costume contest sign ups are from 12 PM - 2 PM at the Project Local Tent near the Geico Main Stage.
