Attend any of the dog shows, agility competitions, costume parades, festivals or fundraisers in Washington on our Dog Events Calendar and you’ll meet hundreds, maybe even thousands, of dog lovers. And since 70% of the events listed benefit humane societies, attending one is a great way to help homeless pets too.

Pet Friendly Walk/Run for the Animals
Walk/Run for the Animals Same cause, different style. Due to coronavirus, Humane Society of Southwest Washington cannot have their usual "party in the park." But you can still support the dogs and cats! Create your fundraising page and ask your friends, family, anyone(!) to support the dogs and cats by making a donation. This year, walkers will have the option to start and stop at any of the route locations. It is a circular path through the heart of downtown Vancouver. The running path can be wherever you choose. All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Leashes should be no more than six feet in length while on the course. Flexi-leads or “extend-a leashes” are NOT allowed. Both runners and walkers will receive an event bag as well as a custom 30 year anniversary commemorative medal! See Details
