Description

Clackamas Lake is a quiet campground located in the Clackamas Lake Historic District on the Mt Hood National Forest. Clackamas Lake is suitable for wildlife viewing, fishing and non-motorized boating. It is about 3 miles away from Timothy Lake. Timothy Lake has opportunities for day use boating, swimming, and fishing. The Historic Clackamas Lake Ranger Station is located 1/2 mile away on Road 42, and has maps, guided tours and other area information. The first 19 sites at Clackamas Lake Campground are available for horse use and pets are allowed at all sites. Directions: From Sandy, Oregon, travel East on Highway 26 for approximately 40 miles to Skyline Road, Road 42. Turn right on Skyline Road (Road 42) and travel South for 10 miles to Clackamas Lake entrance sign. Turn left, travel East 1/4 mile to campground entrance.
