      My go to Motel 6 in San Diego

      I’ve been staying here for years and they’ve come a long way. The staff is so very nice and the room is clean. Can’t beat the food in the area too. I’m always treated well here and my dogs get to be a part of my trip. Yes some of the towel racks & fixtures are outdated but the linens and towels are clean so I can’t complain. Can’t say enough good things since they don’t have breed restrictions and size limits. This means a lot to me!

      Motel 6 needs to put a little money back into their hotel. The office staff was nice and helpful. The room was fine. The bed was something else altogether. The mattress was horrible and painful to sleep on. It felt like hard springs poking thru. There was no way to get comfortable or a good night's sleep. We won’t be going back there.

      Good for dogs

      First let me say, this is a Motel 6. It’s not the Hilton. Lol. That said, it was a decent hotel, room was clean and the carpet less floor was good. The area around the hotel was all grass so plenty of room to walk the dogs. The bad? Even though it’s a non-smoking hotel many people stood in their open doorways smoking. We were offered a room freshener when we ask the desk clerk about it. Lot of transient people around the hotel and parking lot. Probably won’t stay there again.

      Met my needs

      Check in was easy, room was comfortable. Front desk called about a half hour after I was there to make sure everything was ok.

      Much improved!

      My last review I mentioned that the parking lot was my main concern and I wanted to say that my second stay was so much better! They had a security guard that patrolled the parking lot and he was super nice and alert. I loved my second stay! And my third! This is my favorite place to stay now with my dogs since they have no breed or size restriction. The noodle houses nearby are amazing too. Thank you for making me feel safe Motel 6 I was very happy!!
