In wouldn’t recommend this property. Even for a eco-lodging; this place is extremely subpar. It’s dilapidated with many parts of the structure either falling apart or exposed. There are many sketch transients and would-be squatters they’re evicting on a daily basis due to non/canceled payment. They recycle room keys (unsterilized); many of which are defective and need to be reenabled next day. The A/C units operate at 10% at best so the rooms are a tinderbox of sweltering heat during the summer (147 is positioned directly against the Sun). You’ve been warned; don’t skimp. Pay the extra $10-$30 per night at one of the other nearby eco-lodging properties. You’ll save yourself from the torment.

Dog-friendly, in the right part of KC, easy access to I-35. Other guests were loud and obnoxious at 1am and the room felt a little dirty, towels were dingy and small. Budget motel that allows dogs though.

This motel should be leveled and rebuilt. Walls and floor above the ground floor rooms are paper thin. Granted, we picked it for cost effectiveness, but would not do it again. There was a cop in the lobby when we arrived, stating that he was there about a guest who had been arrested while staying there. When we got to our room, it was about 100 degrees inside, heat blasting. The only thing we could do was leave the door open while unpacking and then left the window open all night, which was a compromise between sweating all night or hearing noisy guests arrive. Shower is awful. No temperature regulation and the water is so hard it doesn’t rinse the soap. AND on top of all that we were kept awake by our neighbors upstairs talking and walking around—long after our 10pm check in. As far as pet friendliness there were no issues—however, note that there is only a thin strip of grass for dogs to use.
