I hate to write anything really negative. The humidity and lack of temperature control of this place made the bed spread (which smelled clean) really wet and damp. It was actually pretty gross. For this and how humid and hot it was, it was nearly impossible to fall asleep. Also REALLY high price for one night in the cottage. It was so bad, I really thought about sleeping in my car =/.

Claude was so kind and interesting to talk to! There was a cranky non dog loving guest who should have probably chosen a non dog friendly place to stay..other than that my pups and I loved it and will stay again!

Felt uncomfortable from the first second and the approach of the owner being always around every corner and there being no privacy or even proper bolted locks on these doors.
The man staring in our room at midnight from outside on the porch(when there was no reason he should be standing there) sealed the deal.
Even the dog was happy to leave.

We only stayed for two nights, but it's an amazing getaway. It has the perfect rustic feel. The owner Claude was very helpful and whenever we were there he was more than willing to visit. Also worth noting is the fact that one of our dogs historically does not like men, but she didn't react negatively to him at all and even seemed to enjoy his company. We only had breakfast there our first morning but Claude cooked it to order and sat down to tell us interesting stories while we ate. Definitely recommend to other pet people who are visiting the area!

We were very happy with the stay, and felt welcome. We were visiting friends from MA, so Mystic was the perfect place to meet, and we were fortunate to be able to travel with our dog.
