Dining with your dog in winter can be a chilly prospect. Fortunately, the emergence of igloos, domes, bubbles and pods on dog-friendly restaurant patios make nights out in the cold a lot more toasty. Think outside the box and inside the dome at one of these pet-friendly eateries that will keep you and your pup cozy this season.

Julep Kitchen

Step into a beautifully decorated private igloo adorned with cozy furnishings, twinkling lights, and charming seasonal accents at the pet-friendly restaurant, Julep Kitchen. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Julep Farms landscape, this one-of-a-kind experience is perfect for romantic evenings, special celebrations, or simply a magical night out under the stars. Chef-crafted prix-fixe menus for brunch, lunch and dinner are available in the igloos for $60 per person in addition to the venue fee which ranges from $100 for weekdays, $150 for weekends and $200 for holidays. The venue fee includes seating for up to eight humans and a sparkling wine toast. Julep Farms boasts a three-course Doggy Dining menu too so that you can spoil your pup! Grab a bite to eat and a winter treat at Detroit Fleat, the area’s first and only food truck park, inside one of six cozy, heated igloos. Although the food trucks go on hiatus in the winter, the House Kitchen and Boozery offers beverages and snacks for every taste, from a cocoa bar to s’mores kits, a beer barge and more. Miner Brewing Company

It doesn’t get much dreamier than having a drink in the dog-friendly snow globes at Miner Brewing Company. Beer lovers visiting South Dakota with their pups will love sipping a Winter Warmer with an outdoor blanket on their lap and gazing at breathtaking snowy views of the Black Hills in the seasonal igloos. When hunger strikes, check out the menu from their neighbor, The Kitchen at Prairie Berry Winery, or order from one of the food trucks onsite most days. The igloos at Miner Brewing Company can accommodate up to six adults and are available by reservation for $25 Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., or $35 on weekends.
