I specifically chose this place again in July after staying here in December. It was another great experience - they even had a doggy goody bag ready for my GSD! Great downtown location with lots of sidewalks to walk around and dog friendly restaurants nearby.

The best thing about this hotel was the no pet fee! You just pay the rate and done. It is a good hotel, not the Ritz. The bar and breakfast is currently closed due to COVID. The rooms are spacious and the beds are SO COMFY. It was pretty quite you don't hear much in your room. Downside is the area to take your dog to pee and poo is across the street and it's small. I have a tiny dog so we also have her trained to use a grass potty pad, if we didn't it would of been difficult as the elevators are very slow.

I’ve stayed at several Aloft hotels while traveling with my baby, and Aloft Birmingham Soho Square was not one of the nicest hotels to stay in but it’s ok. The staff are friendly and it’s in a great location, except for the lack of green space for my pet. The building, however, needed some TLC with broken toilets in the public bathrooms next to the lobby, and the housekeeping wasn’t great. I found dark hair on one of the pillowcases and on the bathroom floor when I arrived. I also wish they had a restaurant in all of their hotels. Luckily, there were plenty of restaurants nearby to dine at.

This was a great hotel, they would have received 5 bones if they would have had an operating kitchen and breakfast service. I spent 200 extra dollars on food from across the street at the Urban cookhouse and the big bad breakfast company. Both great food options but pricey and don’t forget the tips. Overall friendly staff and great location to the hospital.

The second floor is great for taking your dog out quickly here and they don't charge extra for your dog! Walkable neighborhood with great restaurants, Jinsei is my favorite!

Hotel was ok for the price. Best thing about it was the great breakfast place just outside the hotel “Big Bad Breakfast” . No green space for the dog except bank across the street
