Steps to the beach and adjacent to Playas boardwalk, which makes for a beautiful walk to catch the sunset. There are lots of eateries, coffee houses, and street vendors offering food and crafts. Also located in Playas is a Walmart, as well as a Cineopolis Multi Movie Theater. Playas is a greater option than Rosarito Beach due to its close proximity to the border, boardwalk, walkability, no toll roads, near downtown Tijuana and yet very close to Rosarito Beach, Popotla, wineries, Ensenada, etc. Downtown Tijuana has a lovely cultural arts center with a botanical gardens. A casino is located a few blocks away from the property. Casinos and racing events are also in downtown Tijuana. Depending upon the tide, the beach is sandy and right in front of the complex. If the tide is high, walk about 1/2 block north for a deeper sandy beach with a gentle sloped walkway leading to it. For more privacy, you can walk southerly along the ocean with fewer beach goers for more privacy and better fishing along the shore. The elevator is permanently out-of-order making the unit not accessible for disabled persons or others unable to climb stairs.
Being close to the border makes this ideal for day trips to San Diego, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Legoland, Disneyland, etc. Save hundreds of dollars per night when comparing it to U.S. beachfront vacation housing costs.
Have fun on your vacation!

This is a 3rd world country. Sometimes there are problems with government provided electric, water, and sewer. Unfortunately, these are all out of the control by all the recipients of these utility services. As this is not a large 5 star commercial hotel, there are no backup generators or alternative water supplies. No liability will be accepted for any consequential or inconsequential damages whatsoever. There are no refunds as these utility services are the full responsibility of the Mexican government. Should utilities be interrupted, enjoy the quiet time or get out and see Mexico.
Because of fluctuations in government furnished voltage, it may sometimes be necessary to hard boot the internet cable modem to reset it. Do so by unplugging it and re-plugging it back in.
If you are not already an experienced user of the KODI streaming box, please do not use it as settings can be erroneously changed and programs deleted. If you are an experienced user, the fluctuations in voltage may necessitate a hard boot by unplugging and re-plugging in the Android box.
