Terranea Resort welcomes one dog up to 50 lbs in designated rooms for an additional fee of $225 per stay. All pet-friendly rooms are located on the ground floor. Only Standard rooms are pet friendly. Casitas, Bungalows, and Villas are not pet friendly. Dogs may not be left in the room unattended. Aggressive breeds are not permitted. Cats are not allowed. For same day arrivals, please call 877‑411‑3436 to confirm availability of a pet-friendly room.

We have family locally so were glad Terranea allowed dogs for our Christmas visit. There are significant restrictions such as restaurants but there are allowed at casual Nelsons and also at the morning coffee shop that made it work. Nice walking paths and room was ground level opening on private area. Recommend.

We had a flawless stay at Terranea that exceeded our expectations. BringFido did an awesome job at coordinating a room on 1st floor with open access to yard and ocean view and a king bed for us. The room rate was awesome too. Had no issues checking in and Terranea is absolutely pet friendly. My pup was as relaxed as us, spacious and beautiful

My colleague decided to visit me for a night cap while staying here. He had his dog that was left in my room for approximately 45 mins while we went to lobby bar for a drink. Apparently within that time frame, a guest complained that the dog was barking excessively. I thought this was extremely strange since the dog is well trained and travels often for dog show competitions. The hotel said they attempted to contact me however i didn't get a voicemail message until the next day. As a result of the dog barking, I was charged a disturbance fee $218.00 that was "non refundable per the manager". I attempted to contact the manager and explain that is not in the nature of the dog to behave this way and that this could of been a different room or pet. Furthermore, I asked for a record of the time frame as to when the complaints were made and they provided a completely different time that was reported. The time frame they provided was a lot earlier than when the dog was present in my room. I again tried to explain this to the management that the time the guest complained, the dog was not present in the room. The management refused to work with me despite not having any proof that the dog was being disruptive and that more importantly, the timing of complaints did not match the dog being inside the room. All she kept telling me was that 'this charge is taking place and is non refundable". Furthermore, she didn't allow me to talk to anyone higher up to allow myself to explain the situation. She was the only person that I was allowed to speak to in regards to this.
I am so disappointed and really expected more from this hotel to have a professional and courteous interaction with customers that spend a lot of money to be here, especially since there wasn't any actual proof besides an irritable guest calling the front desk, most likely scamming them to get a free upgrade or some form of compensation.
They shouldn't call this a pet friendly hotel as they find any way to squeeze in any cent if you have a pet here. I reviewed the hotel pet policy and don't know how they came up with the $218.00 since there weren't any damage and the policy states "I further agree to pay a $100 fee for all instances of complaints of related to my dog causing a disturbance to other guests".
Thus, really think twice before bringing fido here.

Safe Stay: Terranea Resort has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Masks and hand sanitizer are provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay and sealed after cleaning. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Contactless check-in and check-out are available. Hotel staff are required to wear masks.
