We are giving it one bone because the guy that checked me in was a pleasure, the rest was not. As soon as we opened the room door we could see that it needed some TLC, especially the carpet. I went to make a hot drink and put the paper cup on the T.V dresser. I went to put the coffee in and a baby roach was crawling around the rim! Later on I placed my dogs food bowel (on a towel because of the carpet condition) on the floor so he could eat. I went to the bathroom, came back 2 minutes later to see another baby roach crawling up the bowl! Later on I went to take a shower and there was a medium size roach in the bathroom! We left the lights on all night and did not sleep. I will never go back. If it was not for the fact that it was so late and the weather was terrible to drive in, we would have left. I do not expect a 5 star hotel room when I am in a room used only for humans with their dogs, but roaches are unacceptable. I will be emailing the corporate office with pictures and video.

Never stayed at a La Quinta, as it was below my star level. We are building a home in Latitude Margaritaville & had to come down to pick out features for our new build. It happened to be Biketobefest in Daytona, limiting my hotel pet-friendly options. After reading others positive reviews, we decided to go with it. To my pleasant surprise, the lobby was kept very clean, the breakfast was the typical standard basic fare which was ell attended & the rooms were simply okay, no frills but clean. Truthfully, we would not have a problem staying there again.

The second-floor room was decent although the A/C tended to intake cigarette smoke from those standing on the ground by the lobby entrance. Housekeeping staff were friendly and stopped by with extra towels. Continental breakfast nothing to write home about with rotten bananas and stale bagels. The dog walking area is wooded and full of feral cats.

Hotel room very clean, no dog odor. Our room faced I-95 but we rarely heard any noise - mostly motorcycles zooming up the entrance ramp. Hotel clean, staff very friendly and pet walking areas nice.
Hotel is a bit hard to find, but don't give up.

Needed a hotel night with my 45 LB mixed breed, well-behaved dog. We were still in travel mode having just acquired a new property in the area. I knew about this location so a quick call directly to the hotel confirmed a members’ rate and upgrade to a newly remodeled suite.
I couldn’t have been more pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel and room. Staff was professional and friendly. We used the stairs from second floor to access outside exit for potty breaks which was very convenient. Got a great night’s rest!
Decent area to walk dogs with fast casual restaurants and stores in same complex but there are many close by services. The I-95 traffic noise minimal. Easy on/off highway.

Avoid this hotel! This area is overrun with feral cats. While walking my dog, I came across many unusual things: a man sleeping in his truck all night/AM (parked right next to our car), a group of pillows arranged as a bed in the landscaped area perfect for poodle walking...and cats. Feral cats are everywhere!!!
The hotel was being re carpeted so there were workers, supplies, trucks, furniture & debris everywhere. (This is no big deal and has zero influence on my rating but may explain the dude sleeping in his truck all night...that was creepy!)
1) We asked for late check out.
2) The housekeeping couple, specifically the husband(who claims to not speak English)clearly did not get the message.
3) Despite verbally telling him three different times that I was still in the room-yes, I was being harassed by the cleaning guy! I had to bar the door just to take a shower. BTW, there was no 'Do Not Disturb' sign to display at the door.
4) Go outside to walk my dog and smoke only to come back to my room to find the male housekeeper (who is still claiming he does not understand English) literally going through my things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I lost it after that!
5) After a full fledged panic attack...and some amazing *front desk kindness, things settled down.
*please note: My specific complaint has nothing to do with the VERY NICE manager and front desk staff who went above and beyond to smooth this nonsense out.
We visited this hotel about one month ago and I would have let this gco except, lo and behold, we were charged TWICE for this experience!
