I do t know how to fairly rate this hotel although I won’t go back. I came in to the lobby with a sign stating we are helping another guest and we will be back shortly. After waiting and hearing voices I thought I would go check. Yes, the front desk person has was just chatting away with someone. Was pleasant enough. That’s apparently how they staff the front desk. Room was clean but thinking there was a lot of road noise I realized our window had been left open on the first floor.

I avoid the hotels with fees of $50-100 for a pet. Anything over $25 (I feel) is unjustified when my small dog causes no hassle or extra cleaning! Candlewood’s pet fee was $20.

We were greeted with a biscuit for our dog, and he even got his picture taken for the dog wall in the hotel. Our room was on the first floor, and it was clean and quiet. We will stay again on our way through.

This Candlewood was a great place to stop as we traveled south. Directions were clear and the front desk staff members were friendly.

Clean, comfortable beds, spacious rooms with a nice kitchen. Air conditioning not working well. Would have liked free breakfast, like most other comparable hotels. Friendly staff, decent area for pets to go.
