      Great View

      Had a great view of Mt. Rushmore, but the only grass was down on the first level and there was a dead bird in the area which made taking my husky out a core. Let the front desk know about it, but the bird was still there when we left two days later. I will however give them credit for picking up the trash in that area, which made me confused why they didn't take care of the bird. Overall good stay.

      Good stay

      Bring your own pillows if you plan to get any decent sleep; theirs are equivalent to throw pillows you’d see on a sofa.

      Right in the heart of Mt. Rushmore

      Friendly staff. Smaller rooms. Dog area off in the far back of parking lot.

      Could have been better

      Rooms were EXTREMELY small barely room to walk around the king sized bed. With 2 larger dogs it was not comfortable. The one
      Chair in the room was very uncomfortable. Everything needed updated. The “potty area” for dogs is a long narrow grass strip behind the building with no signs directing you there, no poop stations, bags or cans. I had my own bags thank goodness but many before me had not so there was poop every where and obviously hotel staff doesn’t monitor. No signs asking you to clean up and worse no cans or bags to encourage it. Very disappointing.

      Comfortable room

      Room is comfortable and clean (except for the iron burn on the carpet.) Staff were nice. For a pet friendly spot, there is no where to easily walk dogs, and getting in and out of the hotel was like a maze! Would have preferred a room closer to an entrance. Parking was a nightmare! Nice location. If only they could control the weather!

      This place is a pretty standard hotel, it was fine for our family of six. However, it was very pet-friendly for our two big dogs
