Pet fees added
Best Western DuBois HotelI was extremely disappointed to discover I had to pay an additional $40 for pet fees on top of what I already paid through BringFido. I thought the price I paid through BringFido was the price. When I questioned it, they said the price I paid didn't include the pet fee. The hotel was mediocre. Parking is is awkward. They did have nice grounds and an area to walk the dogs. But, if I knew I was paying over $200 to spend the night in a hotel, I would've picked something closer to the highway.
It was fine.
Quality Inn & Suites PeoriaIt was fine. The exterior looked nice, and parking was easy. Building felt older on the inside. Noticed the back entrance was propped open with a stone, which... made an uncomfortable impression. No one on the staff (including check in and cleaning) was wearing a mask during this pandemic, which was surprising. Room was clean and I was located reasonably close to an exit for the dogs. There were plenty of areas to walk the dogs. There was more breakfast options than any of the other hotels I stayed at in the last few days. (I only took an individually wrapped hard boiled egg and yogurt, and a juice, but there was cereal and bagels and a waffle maker) There are nice areas to lounge upstairs and down stairs.
Very happy
AeroStay HotelMy room felt luxurious and comfortable! The check in person was friendly. This hotel is located at an airport, which for me was awesome! I loved seeing and hearing airplanes from my room. Others might not. The only drawback is that you have to park in the long term parking, which is a little distance from the entrance. It was a bit of a hassle when juggling 2 dogs, but worked out well for us as it gave us extra walking before settling into our room. The only true negative for me was the limited places to plug in the phone charger near the bed... but I managed. I'd stay here again, for sure!
Comfortable room
Baymont by Wyndham Keystone Near Mt RushmoreRoom is comfortable and clean (except for the iron burn on the carpet.) Staff were nice. For a pet friendly spot, there is no where to easily walk dogs, and getting in and out of the hotel was like a maze! Would have preferred a room closer to an entrance. Parking was a nightmare! Nice location. If only they could control the weather!
