The staff, the room, the location were all good.

Traveling home after a visit to family and made several hotel bookings in advance. Realized I made one for Abilene, Texas instead of Abilene, Kansas. After cancellation deadline, called BringFido customer service rep who was understanding and contacted the hotel. No refund was offered and the rep suggested I call in the AM to speak to a manager. Sadly the hotel manager didn’t budge and repeated “he would not provide any refund.”

Hotel has a large grassy area behind it to take dogs for "bathroom" and some exercise. Management and staff were friendly. Pet fee was $25/day per dog. Seemed a little high.

This place very happily surprised me with an easy prompt check-in, comfy bed for the price and a large dog area in the back. There was a subway right next door within a two minute walk, along with restaurants across the street. If I am ever in this location again, I’d rebook here.

There wasn’t any special treatment for the dogs, like some places I’ve stayed. But they were allowed to stay, so that met my needs. Comfortable room and free breakfast.
