    Fabulous

I was traveling with two beloved cats across the country. We took a gamble o the Creole Gardens and we could not have been happier. This is not a squeaky modern place. Your room is part of an old mansion or the servant's quarters. Originally it was constructed in the 1840's. That being said we stayed in a cottage, I cant' remember if it was Cottage 6 or 7. Brand new beds. A sunny yellow decor. Cute items strategically placed around the room. A newer bathroom with a talavera tile sink. They asked me if my animals shed much.. THEY DO... and they gave me two extra sheets to lay over the beds because it's easier for them to wash sheets clean than to get pet hair out of comforters. Good amenities. Great breakfast for humans in an elegant dining room in what used to be an antebellum mansion. Free parking. Walking distance to the Saint Charles streetcar and several restaurants. A taxi cab to the French Quarter will run you about $12 bucks or a little less. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you love history and vintage charm, and you don't mind a crack or a chip in a historical lodging, the Creole Gardens are for you. During the recent Baton Rouge flooding, Creole Gardens accepted FEMA vouchers for displaced people with pets who needed a safe place to stay. They'll help you navigate the city. You'll meet other travelers in the dining room and in the courtyard with the fountains. Don't hesitate. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in NOLA after how well we were treated and my cats liked it too.

    Second stay and twice delighted!

This is the 2nd time we've stayed. The first time we had 2 dogs, now just one. We were welcomed, they were welcomed. The area is great for dog walking and bringing you pooch with you for drinks. And - get this - my dogs are pit bulls! YEP! They were welcomed, too. Thanks! See you next time Creole Gardens.

    Great Stay!

We stayed here only one night as we were traveling through, but wish we could have stayed a little longer. This place is very dog friendly, our room was spacious with wood floors and a large bathroom, and the home cooked breakfast was delicious. Not a lot of real convenient potty areas right next to the hotel, but the park area about a block over was nice. (Though no enclosed dog park that I saw.) We will definitely stay there again.

    Great Stay

We couldn't have asked for more out of our stay at Creole Gardens. The staff was fantastic, the rooms and courtyard were wonderful, had a great breakfast, and it was the perfect place to bring a dog. Had a long road trip and easily this was our favorite place to stay and bring a pet. We are definitely coming back to Creole Gardens.

    Wonderful stay

We were very happy with our quarters and the staff at Creole Gardens. The location is within walking distance of the French Quarter and restaurants. Only regret that we didn't stay longer.

Note: The Pelican restaurant, on St Charles. has the best happy hour deal if you like oysters on a half shell!

    Great B&B

We stayed 2 weeks ago and loved the place. Great big rooms, beautiful decor and within walking distance of many restaurants. Very pet friendly and would definitely stay there again.

    SO WELCOMING

One of the most charming places we've ever stayed.. All of their cottage room were pet friendly and the location was superb. The dog park was only 1 block away and was great given the fact that we have a "country" pup that won't go on asphalt!! Such a pleasure! Can't wait to stay again!

    Great Stay

We had a lovely stay here. The hotel is in a great location, and openly welcomed our dog. Highly recommend the place whether you're traveling with pets or not.

Quite The Stay! I do Say

We were traveling through that New Orleans on fine May day with our lovely pet Mr. Ted. Knowing that we would need accommodations of fine character and style, we decide to book with The Creole Gardens. I can assure you we were not disappointed in our stay. The Cottage Room we stayed in was comfortable, clean and Contagious! as we we will be back next time we swing through. Mr. Ted enjoyed himself too and we liked taking him to the park for a bit of the recreation and relaxation. A very pleasant stay and experience that I'm sure to recall to others that happen to be coming through New Orleans, with OR without their pets!

Lovely visit to the Big Easy

We stayed in the slave quarters and the room was lovely, the workers were awesome, Rosie the Pug, ruled the courtyard, only dog there at the time. Bring doggie poo poo bags, as it is a walk to the grassy areas.
