Why Aurora will steal your heart
Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, escaping city chaos, or craving that perfect weekend reconnection, Aurora offers something truly magical. Here, time slows to match the rhythm of tides. Spend lazy afternoons exploring hidden rockpools, discover secret walking tracks, and witness those rare eastern coast sunsets that'll have you reaching for your camera (then forgetting all about it as you get lost in the moment).
Aurora wraps you in nostalgic seaside charm while offering modern comforts. Curl up in the romantic four-poster queen bed, luxuriate in the double rainwater shower, or channel your inner chef in the gorgeous kitchen.
Picture this: you're sipping morning coffee on a weathered timber porch, watching the sun paint the ocean gold while waves gently kiss the shore just metres away. This isn't just a holiday dream, it's your everyday reality at Aurora Cottage.
Where will I be?
Step back in time to when coastal holidays meant something special. Aurora has welcomed guests since the 1930s, and you can feel decades of laughter and pure joy woven into its weathered walls. Nestled in Currarong - a deliciously secluded village that feels like Australia's best-kept secret, you're literally metres from pristine sand and crystal-clear water.
Wake each morning to waves whispering outside your window. As evening approaches, grab a glass of wine and prepare for nature's daily masterpiece - those incredible sunsets over water that make the eastern coast feel magical.
Your adventure playground extends beyond your front door. The picture-perfect Honeymoon Bay beckons with secluded beauty, while Point Perpendicular Lighthouse offers breathtaking coastal views. When you're ready for more buzz, vibrant Huskisson is a short drive away, and pristine Jervis Bay National Park provides endless exploration.
One charming quirk? Currarong keeps it beautifully simple, so pack your favourite cheese, wine, gourmet treats and other deliciousness. Trust us, curating your perfect holiday hamper just adds to the adventure.
How is the cottage laid out?
Aurora flows like the perfect beach day. The open-plan design creates space and freedom, while the separate bedroom and bathroom offer privacy when you want it.
Those gorgeous white-washed wooden floors connect you to decades of beach holidays. The kitchen is a food lover's dream, with a gleaming stainless-steel benchtop, quality appliances, and everything needed for memorable meals.
The dining area overlooks tranquil Currarong Creek Lagoon - perfect for writing that novel or simply spreading out holiday photos while the view provides constant inspiration.
The bedroom cocoons you in comfort with its romantic four-poster queen bed, while the beach-themed bathroom with double rainwater showers and stunning pebble floor turns daily routines into spa-like rituals.
Where will I sleep?
Your bedroom is pure romance and comfort. The four-poster queen bed isn't just furniture, it's your nightly retreat, dressed in luxurious linens that feel like a gentle hug after days of sun and salt air.
The mattress delivers those perfect holiday sleeps where you wake naturally, refreshed and ready for coastal bliss.
Thoughtful storage includes a separate dresser and hanging wardrobe with plenty of hangers. No more living out of suitcases - unpack, settle in, and let Aurora become your home away from home.
WiFi, Internet, TV - will I have it?
Stay connected when you want to, disconnect when you need to. Aurora offers high-speed Wi-Fi (password in your pre-arrival email), and the 43-inch smart TV lets you cast favourite shows for cosy nights in.
While we work hard to keep everything running smoothly 24/7, remember you're in a charming seaside village, so having a digital backup plan never hurts. Honestly though, you might find yourself caring less about screens and more about sunsets.
What about outdoors?
The elevated deck is where magic happens daily. Picture yourself at the outdoor dining table with beach views stretching before you, solving jigsaw puzzles, sharing meals, a glass of wine, or simply watching the world go by at its perfect coastal pace. And the gas BBQ makes outdoor cooking effortless.
Is my pet also welcome to stay?
Your well-behaved four-legged family member is welcome too - because we know the best adventures are shared with everyone you love. The fully fenced yard gives your furry friend freedom to explore safely (only one dog is permitted).
We ask that pets stay off furniture and out of the bedroom. If your pet will be inside at night, please bring their bedding.
Clean up after them, and everyone's happy. If extra cleaning is needed to remove pet hair or dispose of waste, we'll use part of your bond.
Keeping warm or cool?
Aurora was built to dance with the ocean breezes - windows open wide to let the natural air flow work its magic. When cooler weather arrives, heaters ensure you stay cosy.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Luxurious linens, plush fluffy towels, and all the essentials (including TP and tissues) are provided year-round, because your holiday should start the moment you arrive.
Just remember to pack your beach towels and, most importantly, that special bottle of wine for sunset toasts.
When will your story begin?
