  Very dog friendly

  Plenty of area for pet relief. Dogs allowed in cantina / patio. Older facility, but love the layout of rooms all opening into a courtyard area. Also a very cool "hacienda" vibe in the rooms. Earlier coffee availability would be nice for us early risers; complimentary coffee available 7 AM.

  Don’t waste your time

  I realize it’s a historic hotel, but it needs major updates. Old and run down. Not worth the price!

  Not Accommodating

  I travel with coolers of food due to a food allergy. There was no freezer available to refreeze my travel freezer bags for the coolers. There was no handicapped room available that was pet friendly. The building for pets has no elevator and there is no easy way to get your items from the car to the room - even a first floor room. Don't bother booking this one. I walked away from my pre-paid room. The Hampton Inn across the street is the way to go. Consider yourself warned.

  I think this hotel just needs a really good cleaning and it would be great. I know it is old but c'mon.

  Unexpected gem in Taos

  We booked a room pretty last minute and didn't find out until after we checked in that the Sagebrush Inn is full of history! Pretty dog-friendly grounds and the room (with a fireplace) was well cared for and had good character. We booked a king bed and definitely didn't get one, but maybe we got the fireplace instead. Had breakfast at the restaurant (no dogs allowed) and portions were American sized but not more than we could eat. Good value, beautiful place to catch a sunset.

  Our Taos evening

  Room was very small and disappointed that bathroom light and light over sink were same. Didn’t advertise that breakfast was not complimentary. Furniture was pretty old. Enjoyed the cantina and music. Not enough electrical outlets and one wasn’t working.

  Relaxing stay

  Was there while a conference was going on and there were a lot of friendly staff and dogs with guests. I was worried service would be lacking but it wasn’t. Staff is very respectful of dogs as well.

  Great area for short dog walking

  Rooms are tired but comfortable. Wi-Fi was atrocious in and near our room. Bar and live music were great.
  3+ miles to Taos Square. Good experience if you are OK not being in town.

  Always a special treat

  I have been to the Sagebrush a number of times and each was special. The staff were friendly and accommodating. When I realized I had a second floor room they got me one on the first floor.

  Really enjoyed the Sage Brush Inn. The location and service was outstanding. Will return to stay here next time we are in town.

  We loved our stay at Sagebrush. Nice big rooms, places to walk our furry friend, good food, live music, and a lovely outdoor eating area.

  A fine old styled motel

  An unique motel that took good care of us - even had a fireplace in the room. The dogs enjoyed the large courtyard to roam around. Our goto place in Taos.

  Lovely Room and Grass Courtyard

  This is a wonderful place to stay. The room was beautiful and quiet and the Kiva fireplace was lovely to use in the colder evenings. The grass courtyard is friendly and people and families sat out and enjoyed the space. Plenty of space to walk dogs all around the property and view of Wheeler Peak snow

  Very cozy

  We liked this place - a lot of character here. Nice little courtyard to walk the dogs around a bit, plue they provide baggies and garbage cans. It's close to all the action but still far enough out to be quiet. We called about wood in our room & it was there in minutes. That fireplace was so cozy while the wind whipped outside. We will go back when more things are opened back up.

  place almost vacant upon checking. construction going on. Staff confused about room locations. Room quality poor at best!! Chipping paint, door keys not working, chips in paint and cracks in bathroom tile, missing wall items. very poor. how this place came into a 4-bone review ESCAPES ME!!

  Nice Place

  We had a room on the ground floor that opened onto the grass courtyard which was perfect for my pup. There was a water leak that flooded out room and we had to move upstairs which was not so great & then the toilet clogged in the new room. Nice place for pup, green area & poop bags

  Are functioning electrical outlets too much to ask for

  Choices are limited when you have a large dog. It was nice that pets are allowed in the bar area where full menu service is available. However, you cannot take them into the restaurant where the free breakfast is, nor can you leave them in the room unattended, so thats a quandary. Room was adequate and reasonably clean, but very worn. Wooden bathroom door was split and scratched, sink vanity wood was warped and stained. But most frustrating was the electrical outlets. All were so “loose” that phone chargers fell out! We literally had to stack up stuff underneath to hold them in! Ditto for the hair dryer; every time you moved the cord fell out of the outlet. Come on, folks! You can get a duplex outlet for a couple of dollars. I get that you don’t want to renovate dog rooms, but at least fix the outlets.

  Amazing

  Large fields and friendly staff. Clean room, good bar, excellent buffet breakfast included in the stay. Will definitely stay here again next time in Taos!

  Best dog friendly hotel on our road trip

  We just loved this place from the authentic, and rich history down to the awesome buffet breakfast. Large clean rooms, lots of fields for my puppy to play in, dog bags through the grounds, overall this was a great hotel and the best place we stayed on our road trip!!!

  Super dog friendly, large property with cool history

  This place is awesome! Super friendly staff, welcoming to me an my dog. Had a large room with a wood burning fireplace which was such a neat feature. The grounds are large, well maintained and has both grassy and more native areas to play. Dog bags were well located throughout the hotel as were trash cans. The breakfast that was included with the stay was really good, way better than anything I've seen at a chain hotel. The bar had good happy hour and the prime rib I had for dinner one night was delicious. We highly recommend this place!
