Super nice little upscale hotel downtown. Restaurant for dinner. Rooms are terrific and comfortable.

Had a great experience at The Gould hotel. They made us feel very welcome and had no issues with Hunter (English Springer Spaniel). For anyone less able, the beds are high but exceptionally Comfy!! I would recommend to anyone!! The canal path is a wonderful short walk for you and pup!

Brought our Mini Schnauzer and Bichon Frise. No problems and even left them in room for short duration during day. Very close dog walking areas. Places to eat close by within walking distance. Room had fridge for our dogs special food.

This beautifully preserved older building is in a great area. Room was immaculate and attractive. It’s own restaurant was closed due to pandemic but there were other places close by. Staff were so friendly and if you leave dog unattended, they request you leave phone number in case dog is barking. We don’t want to disturb other guests, and we want to know Fido is not relaxed!

Very interesting hotel, loved the room, loved the decor. There's a nice park across the street and the town is dog-friendly. Not everything has reopened since covid but my dog was welcomed into the shops that were open. Lots of really nice dog-walking places around.
