First need to say that our reservation was mixed up we received the wrong type of room so our review may be jaded. BringFido came through with flying colors, the hotel not so much. Room was ok, somewhat dated not like other Candlewoods we stayed at. No hot water, lukewarm at best. Customer service at checkout was not concerned at all about our complaints. For dogs, only the parking lot to walk in although probably due to big dump of snow they recently received. I haven’t given up on Candlewood. Just won’t stay at this one again.

This was an overnight stay on a road trip for 2 senior citizens with 3 active little terriers. This was perfect. Rooms were spacious and clean, full kitchen, good shower pressure, comfortable bed, and best of all very friendly helpful staff.

Room and facility were clean. View of the valley was spectacular. Just enough in the kitchen to heat up a meal and serve on a real plate with flatware. Dog was comfortable. Price was good.

This was a one night stay during a 2 week road trip. We got a suite so we could spread out and have the space. Beds are very comfortable and room was clean. Restaurant next door was convenient and excellent. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We would stop off here again if in the area.

This was a no frills, convenient place to spend a night during our recent road trip. A room on the entry floor made it easy to get in and out. You could hear some sounds from neighboring rooms (e.g., water running). The refrigerator in the room was a bit noisy. There was a small pet relief area outside, stocked with bags. All in all, it was just fine for a night.

We were happy with the spacious CLEAN rooms, full kitchen, comfortable bed, good shower pressure. Friendly staff. Shower was not working upon entering. Asst. Manager took care of the issue immediately. We look forward to our next stay there.

Room was LARGE and clean. Is an extended stay suite and great. Restaurant next door was open for dinner and outstanding. Dog was welcomed and given cold water. Great location.

Really liked this place, but unfortunately the room was on the ground floor, four floors down from the lobby. So we had to use the elevator many times, and it was very hard to get my pup in one. Next time I stay, I will ask for a room on the lobby level, and hope they will be accommodating. No breakfast served, but good complimentary coffee. Each room has a sink, fridge, oven, microwave and equipped with cookware. Unfortunately there were no eating utensils, but they gave me plastic ones to use. The restaurant next door, Damenti’s, was great, beautiful view of the valley. Pricey, but the food was delicious.

Room was clean, but dated from what was posted in pictures here. Also bare minimum items - towels, there were 2 sets, but we were booked as four people, no additional blankets, etc. Also there was a sudden unlisted additional $10 fee for “incidentals” on top of $10 pet fee. Overall, far overpriced for what looked really good on web in my opinion.

Everyone I encountered with my pup was friendly (and complimentary). They helped me get a ground floor room for my elevator-phobic dog too!

The hotel was very nice and comfortable, with lots of room to spread out for the dog. The grounds are fine, there are a few patches of grass and a small pet relief area, and there's a large parking lot to wander, but nothing special. I'll definitely be staying at the Candlewood brand again.

Right off Hwy 81 for those going North/South. For north bound go straight across at the exit. It is directly in front of you. The wonderful Damenties Restaurant is right there next door for a wonderful dinner after a long day on the road.

Sandalwood Suites is a beautiful hotel, set into the mountain. The views are spectacular.
The hotel itself is immaculate, and beautifully laid out. The rooms are, in fact, suites with oh, so much room!

The staff was ok. They gave us a room far from the door so we had to go down a long hallway then upstairs to take the dogs out. There was only a small grassy area. The carpet was very dirty and stained and the hotel smelled. The beds were comfortable and there was a great shower. I wouldn’t stay there again, with or without dogs.
