It’s pretty cool to find a dog friendly hotel that feels like a place you would stay even if you were not bringing your dogs. The staff are friendly, the food at their restaurant is top notch, and the beds are very comfortable. The only trouble with downtown Bakersfield is that it’s hard to find a grassy spot take the dogs to do their business but other than that it was great! We would definitely stay again.

I was on the 3rd floor, which seems pretty unideal for someone with a dog. I got a menu when I checked in for the in room service,which also would be expected since I couldnt leave my dog unattended. But there were no instructions on how to get in room service,nothing in the room or on the menu's. I tried to call the front desk but the phone in my room didnt work, so I had to use my cell phone to call the motel. Room was very nice but overall I wouldnt say it was worth the cost.

Health & Safety
Safe Stay: The Padre Hotel has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Masks and hand sanitizer are provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Contactless check-in and check-out are available. Each room has a 24-hour gap period between stays, and hotel staff are required to wear masks.
