  Can’t Beat the Location!

  Perfect location right at the beach. Nice walking/biking trail right out the door. We enjoyed watching whales from our patio. Very dog friendly too. We will continue to return to the Beachcomber.

  Great location and dog run

  My dog had a great time playing in the dog park at the motel. Almost had beach to ourselves and my dog loved running and digging on the beach. Will stay again at this motel since it was dog friendly.

  Dated rooms

  This is a fabulous location and very dog friendly lodging. We loved being able to take our pooch with us to the fire pits. However, some of the room furnishings were dated; and we had to keep calling housekeeping to fix the plumbing. Still, a great deal for the price.

  Great Ocean View and Super Dog Friendly

  Beautiful views, great amenities and easy access to boardwalk for walking the pup and bathroom breaks. Lots of other pups staying on the property so a fun vibe!

  Great location, not so good accountability

  Loved the location, but was very disappointed when we showed up to check-in after a long day of traveling only to be told that the room was not ready and to come back in one and a half hours.

  Great location

  Beautiful view of Pacific Ocean. Nice small size dog park area for the dogs to be off lease. Path to walk the fur babies on!! Highly recommend; we will definitely be returning!!!

  Awesome place!

  We only stayed one night, but absolutely loved it and we will be back. We had a king pet suite, which was a very large modern room, with a dog door to a private area adjacent to their little dog park. The deck along the back of the property, by the beach, has a lovely deck to hang out on with your pooch. Highly recommend!

  Great place for dog owners

  Little dog park is attached to the hotel. Beach access. Bike rental unfortunately no spa and they shut off the fire pit at 9pm.

  Great location, near beach

  Beautiful state park right here. The amazing bike trail that runs up and down the coast.

  Great location

  Wonderful spot with great walking trails on the cliffs over the beach and on the beach. Really beautiful and the hotel is very dog friendly. Has a dog run and a few rooms with dog doors to a private little run. We were in a regular room with a small kitchen which was perfect. Friendly and helpful front desk. Clean and cozy.

  Beachfront location

  Lots of nighttime revelry noise since the deck with fire pits is right outside. If you desire quieter room ask for upstairs rooms. Pet friendly room has pile carpet so some residual stain marks are evident.

  Limited service due to COVID

  The location and the view of the hotel was amazing, however the hotel no longer offers continental breakfast and staff does NOT clean the room anymore due to COVID. However you are still required to PAY ALL these services. There are no discount for the reduced services.
  Hotel can still be able to provide breakfast in a safely manner like other hotes do (example bringing breakfast to every room).
  It was a pet-friendly hotel and the location was good.

  Great Experience

  Location is beautiful and very accommodating for dogs. There is a bike trail directly behind the patio deck with great view of the ocean. Totally worth the visit!

  Nice Facility

  After correcting the wrong-room assignment issue, the visit went well. The room was very nice and spacious, although the 2nd floor room without an elevator was a pain. Location and parking were good. Bathroom was somewhat cramped and needed maintenance. Overall, the visit was OK, but was slightly over-priced.

  Beautiful Location

  Super friendly & helpful staff. Everything you could want for a dog over night. It checked off all the boxes. Tops in location, clean rooms, fire pits, dog park providing grass, clean up bags and easy disposal containers. Lots of paths to walk the pooch over looking the beach or you could walk the pup on the beach. Many things to do in the area that are dog friendly. Can't wait to come back.

  Perfect place to stay with your fur baby/babies!

  There are so many things that I love about this place.
  *They have a dog park
  *Right outside your door are plenty of trails to take your dog on with spectacular views of the ocean.
  * You can walk down to the beach. The easiest trail to the beach is the last one before the bridge.
  *They provide you with a welcome bag that comes in a recycled bag with a towel to dry off your dog, some doggy bags, a couple of treats, and a coupon for a breakfast treat for your dog. The breakfast treat when I went was all natural small beef sticks. The welcome bag is a nice surprise that makes you and your fur baby feel special.
  *The dog fee is only $20 regardless of if you have a small or large dog. I don't know if you pay more if you have more than one dog. I appreciate this though because I feel like so many hotels charge you more if you have a larger dog.

  Things to keep in mind:
  *The dog house in the dog suite is more for smaller dogs. Our dog is about 50 lbs and could not fit easily. If this is the case for your dog, consider bringing a dog bed and/or crate for them.
  *The surf and sand lodge is right next door. They are owned by the same people and you can use the same dog park if you stay there. They are also pet friendly. It's worth looking into to see which place best meets your needs since the two places are similar and right next door, although different in some ways too.

  Great place for your pup

  The rooms are clean and comfortable. They give you a doggy welcome kit when you check in. There is a nice area dedicated to playing or doing their business. We saw several other dogs staying there and it was pleasantly quiet at night. We will definitely stay here again!
