Westin is currently under going significant renovations that resulted in very long walk around and closure of certain pools/restaurants. The facility is otherwise great, but be aware.

Please don’t check in here if your dog barks! Our dog barked and we were called during dinner to take her out of the room! We were reminded we signed a disclosure that we could not leave our dog unattended! So we were unable to go to the pool etc we watched others swim from our balcony. My husband needs to have the dog travel with us as his has a hearing disability. The way we were treated was unacceptable. Please think twice before you book here. The staff we had was very condescending & had terrible customer service skills.

We were very impressed with the accommodations. We had a suite and our dog Remi (37 lbs) was able to stay in the room at no extra charge plus we were able to leave her by herself for short period of times. The outside area for the dog is right out the lobby back door so it’s very secure when walking your dog at night. She got lots of attention. We also took her to Sanibel and walked in the shops with her as it’s dog friendly and some shops even had water bowls outside their shop for the dogs. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed her with our 5 teacup poodles. They allowed all 5 and did not charge a pet fee either! Our reservations were for one night but we loved the place so much that we stayed one more night and even upgraded to a suite which was beyond measure! We are so grateful to the hotel for allowing us to bring all of our “kids” and will definitely coming back. The restaurant, The Nauti Mermaid, is also pet friendly so we ate there and enjoyed ourselves immensely!

Easy to bring a dog here. Convenient rooms to relief area and lots of places to walk. The Nauti Mermaid staff were all wonderful to our small terrier, bringing water, talking to her and fussing over her. Best of all, no extra charge. Would definitely return.

did a mini vacation to Cape Coral and brought our 75 lb Weimaraner. not just is this hotel beautiful with a very friendly staff, it is also super dog friendly. The dog is welcome everywhere but the pool, perfectly fine by us. We stayed in a suite on the 18th floor, very clean and fantastic view. Super surprised to find a full kitchen, very spacious bathroom with washer/dryer and a huge balcony. Will stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.
