The hotel was what I would expect for the price range. Rooms were a little outdated but clean. Clearly a very popular dog hotel. We arrived around 9pm and immediately saw 10 dogs on the premises. The walls are a little thin so when a dog barked our dogs got anxious.

Very easy to get to and Spring Lake Park was about 5 minutes away. The park had walking trails and a dog park; our dogs enjoyed it very much! The room at the hotel was very nice but most of the green area to walk the dogs was on a hill. However, with the park being so close we would definitely stay there again.

The room was clean and functional, the grassy area sufficient (with poop bags available). The noise from the highways could not be blocked out with the heater fan, so our dog did not sleep well. Staff were good.

We were on the road for 12 days headed west and this was one of the best hotels we stayed at. The hotel was in decent shape overall and had good breakfast items. The staff was dog tolerant, not necessarily friendly during our visit, meaning there was no direction concerning designated dog walk areas. We too had to step between the dog poop in the grassy areas. The grassy areas were not really perfect due to their limited area. There were areas to go out further, up the side of the property that next to an RV/Boat dealership, requiring walking/climbing in a drainage culvert area to access it. Ironically as we drove up we noticed that one of the floodlights was flashing like a giant strobe light against the building. As luck would have it, we were in that room for the night. Even with the curtains and shades closed we had a strobe effect for the night. We didn't complain, they were short staffed and did the best they could.

The room was clean but on the small side. No shampoo, etc provided which was odd! Room rate and pet fee is reasonable. Plenty of grassy area for pets but people don't seem to use the bags provided to pick-up after their pets! Staff was very helpful, accommodating and pleasant. Would recommend a stay!

On arrival they were greeted with treats. The staff was amazing: friendly, efficient and helpful. This hotel does have a pet fee, but it was worth it. We had a decent 2 queen suite room, nicely furnished, separate sitting area. The room smelled fresh and was very clean. There are many grassy and walking areas outside for our puppies. Absolutely would stay again.

Upon arrival found out Hotel had overbooked. (Never found out what why). We had wanted a room with separate bedroom as my wife teaches online every morning and it makes it much more convenient. The on duty desk manager made us comfortable as possible by putting us and our small dog on the 1st floor and near the side entrance door and waved the fee for our pooch. We worked thru it, room was comfortable and the hotel itself felt safe and clean. We would stay again, but with a suite next time.

This hotel is very nice and clean. Only problem there is dog poop everywhere outside from people who do not pick up their dog's poop. Took forever for my pup to find a place he would go to poo. I stayed there twice in 8 days going to and coming home and both stays were the same. The breakfast was nicer than any other Covid period hotel stay elsewhere!!

This hotel does have a higher than average pet fee, but it was worth every penny to be in such a great place and not feel like we were in a run of the mill “dog hotel”. We had an immaculate room, beautifully furnished, separate sitting area, 2 televisions. After many hours on the road, it’s a real treat to stay in such a great place with terrific grassy walking areas for our pups and amazing employees. We’ll plan our next cross country trip to stay here.

The Fairfield deserves five bones. They were so nice, kind, helpful and clean. My stay couldn’t have been better!

Easy access off the highway, area felt safe right next to a large Cadillac dealership.
Staff is friendly and efficient. Room was a little snug for the king bed & all furniture. Bed is comfortable and we slept well. Shower didn’t have great pressure but got the job done. Had soap, shampoo & conditioner but no lotion. Air conditioning seemed to struggle a bit at first but kept us at a nice cold sleeping temp after arriving at midnight to turn it on.
Breakfast was hot and good - eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, waffles. Plus the standard fruit, milk, cereal, etc.
Hotel is clean both outside and inside, except for the dog area which needed to be picked up. I’ll never understand why people don’t clean up after their dogs - if I can diligently pick up every time with my Great Danes, you can certainly handle your tiny little turds! That being said, the dog potty area is quite large and grassy. There is a bag and disposal station but it was empty and this may have contributed to the issue (no excuse - if you are traveling win your dog, bring your own bags!)! There are also nice grassy and paved walking areas all around the hotel and car dealership. We were given a quiet room near the stairs on the 3rd floor. It had an odd smell we couldn’t identify, kind of like sweat - which is what knocked this down a bone in rating - but the carpet and room was very clean. They allow big dogs, which we appreciate!
