Best Place to Get Stuck in the Snow

My fiance and I brought our two medium sized dogs here for a fun snow weekend. We ended up getting stuck an extra day due to weather and could not have been happier about it. The staff was wonderful, pleasant, and welcoming. We borrowed snow shoes from the lodge for free and spent one day exploring. The happy hour was a nice way to relax after playing in the snow, and making S'mores outside in the snow with Alex was so much fun! They are so accommodating with pets, our dogs loved it as much as we did. We also enjoyed the arcade and waffle bar! We will definitely be back with our pups soon!

    Amazing Place

We were fully satisfied with our stay at this dog friendly place. The owners go out of their way to make sure their guests, both two & four legged enjoy their vacation. With an amazing lobby full of adorable cabin decor, game room, complimentary wine/cheese happy hour, firepit in the evening with all the makings for smores and even a relaxing patio area complete with a dry sauna room. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Tahoe!

    Quick, Fantastic Stay!

We stayed in the western themed room at the end of July and felt so welcomed! We arrived late, but the staff made it easy for us get checked in. They were very accommodating. Our room was very comfortable, and after camping in the days prior it was a nice change! Chocolate chip cookies awaited us when we arrived and they were much needed! The whole place is clean, fun and welcoming. We will definitely be back with our pups!

Right at home with the dogs

Great location close to the beach and the entire lodge is dog friendly (for well behaved pups). The lodge has a very homey feeling and resident dogs Kona and Sandy along with other visiting doggy guest added to the friendly atmosphere. The owner Christine is super sweet and made sure all our needs are attended to. This lodge has a very close knit neighborly atmosphere due to to the small number of rooms and the attention of the owner to her guest's needs. Highly recommended if you plan to bring your pup to enjoy the Tahoe outdoors.

    Dog Resort Heaven

Our first night here, the lodge is adorable and the two resident pups Kona and Sandy are great hosts to all new visiting pups. The 5 oclock wine and cheese hour was great and our two pups enjoyed the canine company. SMores at the fire pit at 7 and we are now getting warm by the fireplace in the room. THis place is a great little place, close to the 'Y' but still by itself and private.

    All the comforts of home

What a great place to stay. They treat you like family here and it truly dog friendly. In fact my dog did not want to leave. Located on emerald bay road just a short way from the state line split, The lodge is close to everything, but far enough away to feel the beauty of Lake Tahoe. The rooms are smallish but very well designed and very comfortable. The bathrooms are also small but clean and well maintained. The owners are the best and they treat you like friends as soon as you get there. The location is perfect for dog owners, close to a dog friendly beach and right next to the National forest. We drank wine with the owners at happy hour, sat by the blazing fire pit and shared tales of our day with other guests at days end, walked to the lake with our Border Collie. Like the sign says in the main room: Life does not get any better then this. I have been going to Lake Tahoe for almost 40+ years. Fireside Lodge is where I will be staying for all my future trips.

    Great Ski Weekend

We loved staying here. The people are very friendly, proprietor and guests alike. LOVED having so many dogs around ... finally a place where it isn't a sin if you have a dog and it barks once or twice. : ?)

The afternoon wine and cheese meet and greet was very nice. Breakfast was great. Hiking behind the B&B was just beautiful. TONS of places to throw toys and run your dog. We will definitely return for another stay.

Perfect for Mom, Dad and the pups

We stayed in the Heather cabin last July for my husband's birthday, and it was just perfect. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the living room was cozy and warm with its beautiful fireplace. The bedroom is a little bit cramped, and there's no place to store your suitcase, but the attitude toward the dogs was very gracious and accomodating. We loved the hikes recommended by the hotel, but we decided to have the birthday dinner at the pub and they were so involved in a wedding party that they shuffled us into an almost impossible situation where our dogs were stepped on and uncomfortable. The cabin itself was a true joy though. We will definitely stay there again!
