First vacation roadtrip with our Golden

We stayed at this cozy inn located in the historic district of St. Augustine for one night during a road trip vacation with our dog. The location is within walking distance of all the sights and restaurants. The cooked breakfast was very good- we had Caprese Eggs Benedict. We also enjoyed the beer and wine available during happy hour sitting in the charming courtyard. They allow any size dog for an additional fee, ONLY in Room 15, which has its own entrance/exit on the courtyard. The room was clean, comfortable and worked well for us traveling with our dog. They did spoil him with treats and brought out water for him too during happy hour.

    NOT Dog Friendly

BEWARE: If you are looking for a pet friendly hotel like the site claims, look elsewhere. Upon arrival they put us in the wrong suite which they then claimed was NOT pet friendly. They said us and our dogs will just have to deal with it and to make sure our dogs do not bark. The funny thing is, us and our dogs could not enjoy our quiet relaxing vacation due to the massive WEDDING that was in the room above us. Upon returning to our room, we found that housekeeping stripped us of any comforters and pillows in order to prevent our dogs from causing any "damage" to the room. So for our last night we all shared our 1 thin blanket and sat quietly in the dark as the party rampaged on upstairs. My fiance and I did not feel welcome at all and we will not be returning here for future visits to St. Augustine.

    Awesome place !!

On a trip alone just me & my dog, I decided to check out St. Augustine. My search for pet friendly locations landed me at the Marin House & what a fantastic choice it was. This is the place to be!

This is in the historic district & within walking distance to everything, yet off centered so it's still a nice retreat. It's right across from the bay so each morning for the awesome meal, I sat looking out over the bay.

Going alone was not a problem. I quickly met other guests & made friends. There were folks from all over the world. My Jack Russell, Chi Chi was treated like royalty & welcomed with open arms. The owners greeted all the guests & I found out they were from my home town. All the workers were super friendly & helpful. I couldn't ask for better service. The meals were great & they even offer a happy hour meal which hit the spot.

The rooms are BEAUTIFUL, filled with antiques & even a huge tub in the bedroom to soak in with lots of jets. Bed was very comfortable & the bathroom was great. Lots of windows to brighten the room up. Outside my room was a private little table & even a swing to sit on. Or you can go out to the other tables & mingle.

In town there are tons of things to do & see. The tours are great. Most places have outside eating, so my dog was welcomed. It is a lovely city that has charm & history. I would live there! I loved it.

This is the place to stay. You will be so happy here! I will definitely be back. Thank you to all those that made my stay so memorable.

    Excellent B&B

This was one of the nicest B&B's I've ever stayed at!! The breakfast was delicious and there were many options to choose from (you select the night before). Everyone was very nice and pleasant to socialize with during the evening happy hour. The courtyard and gardens were beautiful. The location was perfect for walking to where you wanted to go. It was just an excellent, excellent stay.
