Dogs are allowed at Manatee State Park Campground, but they must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your vehicle. Dogs are allowed at the tent sites, but not in the cabins or at the boat docks. For more information on pet restrictions, please call (352) 493-6072.

Description

Experience the wonder of one of nature's most peaceful creatures at Manatee State Park Campground. This natural spring attracts West Indian manatees every spring, and is also a popular spot for snorkeling, scuba diving, and swimming. Canoe and kayak rentals are available in the park for exploring the beautiful waters, and there is also a playground and picnic area. The campground is set amidst red oaks and includes 80 earth-floored sites with hot shower restrooms. All sites have electricity and water, but no sewer hook-ups. However, there is a dump station on site.
