R Shaefer Heard Campground
Dogs are allowed at R Shaefer Heard Campground, but they must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your vehicle. Dogs are allowed at all the tent sites and cabins, but may not be left unattended. There are no pet fees. For more information on pet restrictions, please call (706) 645-2404.

Description
West Point Lake offers 500 miles of shoreline and extends 35 miles along the Chattahooche River. It's an excellent spot for fishing and boating. This campground makes a great base for exploring it with your pet. The 117 sites have electric and water hookups, and other amenities on offer include a dump station, laundry, hot showers, boat ramp, and more.
