Very romantic. 30 minutes to Midd. - 1 hour to College Snow Bowl. The cottage, or house, really, is not a sterile, tacky rental. It is a cozy, lovingly appointed home. Lots and lots of books, antiques, oil paintings, gas fireplace, private slate beach, large deck hovering almost over the lake, canoe, motor boat, great fishing, no TV Thank God, just DVD, Wireless Internet, lots of games, grill of course, full kitchen, everything you need. Great for doggies - isolated, private dirt road directly on the lake - Particularly intense sunsets due to the large mountain range across the lake. Just off Vermont Bike touring route. Middlebury- galleries, college, bistros - waterfalls, hiking, revolutionary forts, Morgan Horse Farm. Beautiful in all seasons. Finish your novel here, or start one. Wonderful place for intelligent, hip people with a sense of beauty, style and humor.
