    Description

    Set in Thornton Gore in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, this four-season log house is rustic and comfortable. It sits halfway up a grassy knoll, surrounded by open-field farm land and the White Mountain National Forest. Johnson Brook runs next to the dirt road. It has an open kitchen-dining area, a large living room with cathedral ceiling and a fieldstone fireplace. This is a non smoking house. In the area: Swimming holes in the river, Mirror Lake, mountain hiking trails. Canoe and fish the Pemigewasset River; bike the valley. Major cross-country and downhill ski centers at Loon Mountain, Cannon and Waterville Valley. In the summer, Loon Mountain provides archery, horseback riding, bicycle rentals, shooting range and more. The North Country Center for the Arts has a summer of exciting plays. There is a two-night minimum reservation. Sound good?
