Built in 1909, this historic Berea hotel is located on the Berea College Campus. It features an on-site restaurant and cherry, oak and pine furniture handcrafted by Berea students. Free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV with cable are included in all rooms at the Historic Boone Tavern. They are also equipped with coffee makers. The on-site Boone Tavern Dining Room serves southern cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Room was nice but two large stains on the carpet. Reported but not taken care of or offer to change our room after we paid a $75 pet fee. Dinner was average.

A usual, it was very clean and comfortable and lovely. There was a wedding reception so it was crowded and parking was difficult. We also couldn’t get seated at the restaurant so had to have room service. They brought the room on a rolling table which was great. However, the food was cold and all was not as described on the menu. Also, no one was available at the Frost Cafe to make our lattes in the morning. Very nice accommodations, though, for pets and their people.

Final leg of a month long trip. After a long day of driving, it was nice to rest and relax with our doggy traveling companion. The Boone Tavern was great. Welcoming, friendly staff, clean comfortable room. Would stay there again.
