Hotel is under renovation and it's messy. Rooms need updating and bed was very uncomfortable. Fitness center was not usable. Location was good and hopefully once renovations are complete it will be better.

This hotel needs a major overhaul. Guestroom was dingy and beat up. Breakfast food service was ok but nothing to really enjoy.

Pleasant accommodating staff, clean, neat, and large room. They are in process of upgrading thanks to Wyndham, but not yet completed as of November 2022. Convenient access from Interstate 95, and a reasonable "crash pad" for overnight with pets. AND, they're right across the road from the "Kings Dominion" amusement park! Would recommend for an overnight, or possibly extended stay once upgrades are completed (hence 3 out of possible 5 bones).

There was a small grass area for my dog so that was nice. It's under construction, and the elevator was very shaky, I would not suggest it. Not sure I would recommend unless they fix the internet and finish the construction.

I would never stay here again. The pictures online are either outdated or when someone actually cleaned. I understand it was a pet friendly room but the room had clearly not been thoroughly cleaned or wiped down. In addition, it was very, very noisy and the walls were paper thin. For the price of room, I expected so much more. Also, there really isn't any place close by besides Burger King to get food. The only time I can see staying in this place is if you are going to the amusement park. Otherwise, find somewhere else.

I’ve stayed at this property many times during my travels to and from Florida and this has really gone down hill. Dirty and dingy. That’s enough of this place for me.

Room was spacious for our family of 5 but we got bitten by fleas. Probably from a previous pet owner. In the morning we asked where the breakfast was and the person behind the desk indicated the coffee pot which was empty. The muffins and fruit were also gone, and it was 7:30 am.

It wasn’t very clean. The outdoor dog area was so covered in poop that I wouldn’t let mine near it. I would not recommend.

They didn’t offer breakfast due to Covid so we couldn’t enjoy the full value of the visit. Clean property and nice furnishings though!

Very dog friendly! Our stay was very pleasant and the room was large and nice. Super close to all kinds of activities and places to eat are close by too. As usual with everywhere I stay it's too bad other guests don't make use of the poop bags that the hotel supplies. That is so irksome and people are self-centered slobs.

Very friendly and Accommodating. Our pupper had a great time just hangin out. They do not require you to crate your pets as lo as they are well behaved. There was no pet fee however we had to sign a pet policy for pet damages. No issues there though. We will stay here again!

We were heading home from our trip to St. Augustine and needed some rest so since we had our goldens with us we chose La Quinta. We arrived around 8:30 and the young lady at the desk had us checked in within 3 minutes, giving us a room on the 3rd floor (I always prefer not having people above me since I live with my sister who stomps when she walks). Our room had 2 king beds and was very spacious which the dogs definitely appreciated. The room was clean except for the bottom of the tub had something gray on it, almost like someone stepped in it with a dirty shoe but overall it was nice.
On a side note, I must admit that the kid in me got a little giddy seeing the Eiffel Tower and roller coasters all lit up in Kings Dominion across the parking lot. The hotel offers ice water, hot chocolate, tea and coffee 24/7 and they also over a great selection of hot and cold items for breakfast. I love a good waffle so I was really happy about the waffle maker and they offered both sausage links & patties, the only thing I didn't care for was the powdered eggs but it is what it is. They also had cold & hot cereals, bagels, toast and 4 different varieties of muffins and the breakfast area is bright and open. I didn't have a chance to enjoy the pool but my golden let me know he noticed it, refusing to budge from the entrance for a few minutes before finally leaving.
