Relaxing spa getaway for pups and humans!

Highly recommend this relaxing spa hotel to all dog lovers! It is by far the most dog friendly resort my hubby and I have ever stayed at! We've been coming here for about the past 7 years and we and our dogs have enjoyed every moment of every time we've been here! It is a dog's dream come true and a dog lover's paradise!!

        A True Gem!

We've stayed at dog-friendly hotels across North America, but this one takes the cake...err, the bone. The people were delightful, the rooms modern, clean and inviting, breakfast tasty and the pool and spa perfectly clean and comfortable. It was such a treat to be able to hang at the pool and walk around the property without worrying about leashing Baylor. And he loved it! The location was also great, with easy access to restaurants in Palm Springs area and desert oddities like Salvation Mountain. And for being located on a main street, it is impressively secure and quiet. All in all. we loved our time here and can't wait to return.

        Excellent!

A friend and I stayed here with our dogs for my birthday (and my dog's birthday), my dog LOOOOVED it, it was like Spring Break Doggy Camp for her. Paula the owner is lovely, laid back, delicious breakfast (help yourself), all amenities and nice clean, hip, modern rooms. We will be back!

        Perfect dog hotel.

After a month-long road trip paying extra "dog fees" at hotels that don't allow leaving your pet in the room even just to go for a quick jog, this place was like Shangri La. Hip decor. Spotlessly clean. Safe & secure. Great views. Fascinating innkeeper. Such a treat to leave the dog off leash to trot around the pool and just chill out. In between Canada & the Mexican border - this was hands down the best place we've stayed. There should be Dog Spa resorts everywhere. I truly didn't want to leave, but we had to mosey on.

        Doggie Restaurant

If you stay here with Fido you must take Fido to Bongo Johnnies in Palm Springs. They cater to dogs on their out door patio and even have menues with delectible dishes just for dogs! Its a must. The food is delicious and the staff are awesome too.

        Great time!

My Irish Wolfhound, Sterlyng Mor Hawk, and I stayed with the Dog Spa Resort and Wellness Center while showing at the AKC dog show. It was friendly, hip and very comfortable. It was out first away from home trip and it was designed for just what we needed. Sterlyng loved the freedom of being off leash the whole time! I enjoyed the mineral spa jacuzzi several times and Sterlyng was able to be with me everywhere I went. Excellent customer service and we will definitely plan to stay with them again.

        Unique concept!

Had a wonderful time with my sister and our two dogs. The Dog Spa is not just a dog friendly hotel, it is a hotel for dogs, people are welcome too! The open concept allowed our dogs to play with other dogs, wander the entire gated grounds and have more fun than I thought was possible. My vacation was enriched by watching them have so much fun. The water from the hot springs is rated among the top 10 in the world, so make no mistake, the grown ups are in for a treat too. Paula and Joe made us feel like part of the whole big dog family. The historic mid-century building has been meticulously restored, with loving care. The view of San Gorgonio Mt. is breathtaking. Quick and easy access to beautiful Palm Springs makes this location very desirable. Special mid-week and group rates are offered. I will definitely be back, along with my dog Bruce.

        Great fun for all!

I took my 2 dogs and 3 teenagers (not something I would typically find fun to do) and spent the weekend at the DogSpa Resort and to my delight we all had a fabulous time. The dogs had a blast and the teenagers (who usually find a way to complain about everything) actually enjoyed themselves! The DogSpa has all the amenities including beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean rooms with an adorable kitchen connecting two rooms in the suites, a large play area for the dogs with a central firepit for the guests to enjoy, and the Lazy Dog Lounge for everyone (including the dogs) to hang, watch TV, eat, and just relax. We were able to drive to Palm Springs which is about 10 minutes away and have a lovely dinner while our dogs stayed at the hotel. After dinner we came back, roasted marshmallows, and relaxed in the spa for a while. A great time was had by all and we are looking forward to a return visit soon!! A great getaway...thank you to the folks at the DogSpa!!

        Best Vacation Spot

We stayed 2 nights with 4 dogs and I don't know who had a better time - the dogs or people. The beautifully decorated rooms and comfortable bed were great for us and the dogs loved the dog park and running around the hotel meeting everyone. We were lucky enough to stay in a "wellness room" which included magnet therapy beds as well as state of the art air and water purifiers.

The views and natural mineral spring spa were amazing. I can't say enough about the DogSpa. We will definitely be back.

        Pawesome Resort!

The DogSpa is a great place to relax with your pooch. Our room (#3) was really comfortable. Two large windows offered superb views: one, of a snow-capped San Jacinto with Palm Springs below. The pooch park is great and I loved the fire ring right in the middle of it. We talked around the fire while pooches played around us. The hoteliers say there is an aquifer below the land, and that's what feeds the pool and spa. The water smells of sulphur, but that means it's real mineral water. It's the perfect place for people who want to socialize with other guests or seclude themselves (I am more of the former and my husband is more of the former, so we were both happy!). The decor is warm modern, and you can tell a lot of work has gone into renovating this mid-century hotel. I especially love the dog-friendly aspect. The concrete floors are easy to clean up if there's an accident. I had never been to Desert Hot Springs. It's a very special place, and this hotel makes it even better! I plan to return and stay at DogSpa.
