Thank you for a great stay! Our room was spotless the location was great. The amenities looked like they would be a lot of fun had we been able to stay longer. I can’t say enough good about the staff, they were very helpful and extremely pleasant. Our two little dogs and us will be back! Thank you for everything!!!
- JoyApr 4, 2022Great Hotel-But Beach Manager is rude
I stayed for the weekend, and the Night Auditor and Front Desk were very friendly and helpful. However, this is the second time I have stayed there, and each time there is a Beach Manager person (not sure of her name) kicking people off the beach with their dogs. They are usually just walking back from Snook's or walking by the beach. But she yells at them, and then demands to know their room number, and then tries to follow them to their room. This is certainly not being hospitable. Also, there are ZERO signs telling guests they cannot walk the beach too and from Snook's from the bar, or walking BY the beach. If not for this seriously rude person, I would have no problem staying there again. But being a dog lover, and having a dog myself, this would deter me from returning. You should get signs, or teach this person to be more respectful when she speaks to your guests.

The hotel is very nice and I have been coming there at least twice a year but lately we have been bullied by a lady who keeps telling me and my dog to stay away from beach. We were not on the beach. She’s rude and this is the second time I have been treated that way. I want to go back but because of her I will find a different place to stay.

First off after check out we see a $500 fee on our credit card we were told there was a $50 per pet fee (we have 3) but not per day. No off leash area, no dogs at beach. A small patch of grass for the dog area. Never saw housekeeping. Cheap rooms property and rooms was very well kept. Pet friendly not so much, pets allowed, yes.

I strongly advise to avoid this property. We made a reservation but on arrival after a long day of traveling we were told, “Sorry, I see your reservation here, but we don’t have any rooms. What I can do is refund your payment.” No call to warn us and no assistance in finding another place. Front desk said this didn’t happen on her shift so she couldn’t tell me anything else. Extremely disappointed and upset about this experience and surprised that there wasn’t more support when you leave a customer hanging in such a severe way.

You can tell The Bayside Inn has been slightly updated. The rooms are clean and has all the amenities you need. My dog had a great time and felt comfortable in the room. I had to ask for a dog bowl although it says they offer bowls and treats and a mat for your dog...nothing was offered but I’m sure if I asked I would have gotten it so I just settled for a bowl. If we have to stay in hotel again we will probably go back.
