this isnt really a lodge, it only looks like it from the outside. We stayed in a double queen room and it is VERY basic inside. Really gorgeous on the outside but just as simple and basic as a Super 8 on the inside. I gave 4 bones because it was very clean, the front desk was friendly, and they had no problem with our Great Dane. There were ample areas to walk him around the property and all over the town. Also walking distance to everything from restaurants, laundry, convenience store, the lake, etc. Had the absolute BEST dinner at Daven Haven Backstreet Steakhouse - dog friendly on there outdoor covered patio!

I stayed 1 night with the hubby and our 2 mini Aussies. I agree with the other review - this place is cute on the outside but a dated, bare bones, basic roadside motel on the inside. $10 per dog fee for I don't know what. I was in a King room, which had enough floor space for the portable crates. And there's a grassy spot right around the corner. It's not the greatest place, but if you don't expect much you can make it work. Grand Lake is a great town that's very dog friendly.
