    Noisy

    this place was clean. however it was noisy and a lot of suspicious activity in and around. no real area to walk your pet. must pay to park.

    75 lb max for large dogs

    We own a Great Dane and finding pet friendly hotels has proven difficult. The hotel is clean, has awesome pet accommodations and reasonable pet rates, but they do have a weight restriction. We had to sneak our Dane in the back door.

    Training needed

    The management and ownership of La Quinta need to take responsibility for their inability to train their staff. A computer malfunction handicapped the 2 desk clerks and they had no recourse other than shrug and say sorry. Hand transactions should be in their repertoire. After a 12 hour drive, I had to stand for 85 minutes until getting my room...fortunately I was 4th in line and not the 16th group that was stuck waiting.
    Next, no towels, because laundry wasn't done. Lastly still had to pay $10 for parking when it was only for 4 hours until I was checking out. Not the clerk's fault, but this was the worst hotel experience I've had in years.

    Not clean & very limited

    While I usually expect a pet friendly room to be somewhat dirty, our room was beyond that. There was mold growing in the corner or the room, mold growing on the ceiling of the bathroom, the bathroom floor had a chemical-like film over it that stuck to our feet, the toilet barley flushed, we found a dried up contact lens on the carpet next to the bed, the door has obviously been kicked in at some point and would barely close (I did not feel secure at all). There is virtually no grass around the hotel to take your dog out. It’s completely surrounded by busy streets so your forced to walk your dog with cars flying past you, and it’s in a high crime area. I should have done more research before booking. It did have very convenient access to the airport and was very cheap. However paying extra for the pet friendly Hilton would have been a far experience than booking the La Quinta. I do not recommend.

    Good Time

    The staff at the hotel was very polite and helpful. The room was clean. We had a room on the first floor and there was some green space to use to relieve the dogs.

    Dogs may stay but...

    The room had a wet dog smell; dog hair all in the carpet, used hotel supplied body lotion on the sink, facet barely holding onto the tub, three tissues stuffed into the tissue box. They charge $10 to park your car and very uncomfortable beds.

    Might be fine for animals, but rude receptionist when we checked into a dirty room. Also ways for cats to get under bed and other inaccessible places.

    Worst hotel stay

    At first everything went well, the front desk associate was very nice and explained everything including the pet fee and the damage fees. I got to my room, a king suite on the end of the building. As soon as I walked in it smelled like fresh smoke and the smoke alarm was chirping, like someone took the batteries out. This hotel is advertised as 100% smoke-free. Since we had our dog with us, I was not willing to stay in a room with smoke, so I went down and asked for a different room. The front desk associate told me the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms available. She sent me with the maintenance guy to see if he could fix the smoke alarm and he brought a machine to get the smoke smell out. He told me that a room next door could be smoking and it could come thru the vents into my room. I then said I was not staying in that room and magically a room opened up and we got switched. This new room (a standard double queen room) was right next to the elevator. It was noisy all night long with people yelling in the hallway. There was loud banging all night which was making my dog bark. So many people were in and out all night and we barely got one minute of sleep. Never ever will stay here again and possibly never at a La Quinta.

    Convenient to Atlanta Airport

    Booked room via BringFido. Reservation was fine and they were expecting our dog. They did assess an additional pet fee on checking ($20 or $25 dollars for our one night stay). A pet requirement list was given to us on checking - no barking, 2 complaints and you are out, etc. I asked about pet walk area and was told anywhere outside. We were given a first floor room near an exit. Room was very nice, clean, modern. Had a small refrigerator. I used the hotel luggage rack to bring in my and my dogs stuff which was very helpful with the crate. I assembled the crate, but as my dog is a young puppy loud crying ensued and I feared we would be evicted so took him out of the crate. Being near the exit was convenient for frequent dog walks. There were 2 small grassy areas near the door but a no dog sign was erected there. A short distance across the parking lot was another grassy area which we used, approximately 10 X 10’. A trash can was outside the door. The property towards the road behind the hotel was fenced. It is located adjacent to a RaceTrac gas station and near several restaurants. All went well. Breakfast typical La Quinta, good. Check out was easy.

    Horrible stay

    Room had stains on the floors, only had 2 towels, shower curtain was too short so water was spilling out couldn’t get a nice shower, front desk rude and impatient, I’ve stayed in numerous hotels and La Quinta and this by far was HORRIBLE. WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN, money wasted for sure. Also they don’t tell you but u have to pay for parking and they also hold a deposit on your room.

    Parking Issues

    The hotel is updated, however our room had mold in the shower and the ceiling above the shower is pealing. There is limited space to walk your dog. The parking is gated and your room key will only open the gate one time.

    It's near the airport and is convenient for that. It's very clean, very secure and very well run. The staff are hospitable.

    Very pet friendly, would recommend. Great if your traveling with your animal through the airport and need to be close.

    Good location

    Room was missing a shower curtain (was provided upon request) and only had one washcloth. The motel did provide free coffee and a grab and go breakfast bag which was much appreciated. Staff was cooperative but it was obvious that the bathroom had not been inspected after being cleaned.

    Great stay!

    Great location and friendly staff! Awesome free breakfast! Clean and comfortable rooms equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Enjoyed dinner next door at Malone’s and they gave us a 15% discount because we were guests at the hotel.

    VERY Pet friendly !

    We stayed here last week with our two 80 lb dogs. Hotel is AWESOME! Very nice clean rooms. Hotel was spotless. All staff were kind and pet friendly. Hotel had lots of dogs and owners. Small pet area to the side with poop bags and trash cans provided. Several restaurants just next door. Great pool! Breakfast had bacon, eggs, potatoes, pancakes, etc., all delicious! This is a GREAT place to stay in Atlanta. Oh...it was near Atlanta airport but you couldn't hear the plane noise! We (and our dogs) will be back! Thanks La Quinta Suites !
