It's a celebration of nature in its most magnificent form, as the wild Chincoteague ponies run up and down the marshland, the local birds will sing you a song. As this perfect day comes to an end, the laid back reggae tunes will set the mood for the miraculous montage of Caribbean colors that make Chincoteague sunsets so desired! As you're moved by the awe-inspiring experience, you'll realize there is no place on earth quite like Snug Harbor Marina and Hotel. The cottages are located right by a nice deck on the water with picnic tables and chairs, outside grill, tiki hats, dock space, fishing and crabbing piers. There is also a little sandy area with beach chairs and palm trees where you can just lay down and relax. There is a marina right by where you could rent a boat, conoe, kayak and go to explore the island by water or just rent fishing gear and try to catch your dinner. This hotel is seasonal from May through October.

      Great Stay

      Very accommodating. Wonderful host and hostess. Cottages very clean. Property was immaculate! Very well run. Boat rentals were a snap. Very pet friendly. Our dog fit right in. Definitely going back next year!!

      Exceptionally accommodating

      The rooms were close to the water and our shepherd was no issue. Plenty of places to walk the dog and lots of local restaurants and activities that allow pets. The Assateague island doesn’t allow pets even I. The vehicle so that needs to be considered. We scheduled a boat tour at sunset with Captain John and took our dog with us. He was more than accommodating and took the time to explain the area and the islands and there history as well as the history of the ponies.

      Very cute bungalow

      We were only there for one night but it was super cute and very very clean. Patrick was comfortable (he's a shitzu).

      Got to Kayak with our dog!

      Snug Harbor certainly is dog friendly. We even got to take ours for a kayaking adventure!

      Great location

      Cute motel on the water. I wish we’d had more time to spend there. Bathroom set up is a little snug for a larger person. Futon made a great dog bed.
