    HORRIBLE FOR PETS!!!!

Having almost ever hotel pet friendly yet your dog spends his whole day at daycare because “ they’re not allowed” on the beach or lake or grass or eating area or sand or really anywhere. Worst location I’ve ever been. Don’t you dare call it pet friendly if it’s not. Do not bring dogs here, you and your dogs will have a miserable time.

    Do not go there!!!

A shame for the new owner!!! If you like to be treated badly while vacationing, then go to Sylvan Lake Beach Park. We planned a short camping (4 nights) outing on the Fourth of July looking forward to rest, enjoy the lake and the surrounding nature. It surprisingly didn’t go as planned. On July 5, when the temperature outside was more than 90, we went for a refreshing swim in the lake at the end of the day. Apparently we broke a rule and were not supposed to swim after 6:00 pm (we signed the papers, that’s true). But who would assume that in this extremely hot day, someone would care that we, four adults (over 50th), actually dipped in the refreshing water for a few minutes? The next seen was like a movie. The owner of the park with a name Ray zoomed to our camping spot and with nasty and rude voice shouted at us to get out of the camp grounds because we broke the rules and went to a water after 6pm. We were so surprised by that crazy statement, we all went speechless. The man continued: “If you will not be out of the park by 9pm, I will call the police and you will spend this night at the police precinct instead of camping tent.” Not to argue, we tried to talk to him in a nice way, but he just ran away. At 9pm he showed up again and we told him that we are not leaving because we are not ready traveling more than 100mi and we reserved the spot for 4 nights. Never the less, he called the Police. When the police arrived, we described the situation - swimming after 6pm it's not a big crime, it would be enough if the owner warns us, and do not go the extreme… the police fully realized what kind of person that Ray the owner is, but couldn’t help us much. They offered us to stay until morning and then leave to avoid dealing with this rude and nasty man.
In the morning he came to us again, seeing that we are almost packed and kept yelling and screaming at us that we had to leave at 9:00 in the morning. We just told him, 'Call the police’. At 11 am we left for good from the camp. We have been in this camp a few times, we love the location, Sylvan Lake Beach Park, sites, but we cannot allow such a person to treat us like this and will never return back until the camp will not be under Ray’s management. P.S. The price for the services (campsite) went up significantly.
