    Clean and Cowboy Themed

This cute place had a green area in front of the room. It was clean, comfy, and matched the theme of Tombstone.

    Fun stay

Great view of the mountains from the property! The hotel was just a short drive from Tombstone where the dog and I walked around for a bit. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was just fine—cereal was stale, not many options.

    Many fidos

The Lookout Lodge was great for my dog and several others. The rooms were large enough for dog beds. A little disappointing that the room could have been even better with some long-needed plumbing and other maintenance.

    Great location, but old

The location was great, but the facilities were super old and outdated. The room smelled musty, and when I used a towel to wipe some water spilled the towel was black from the dirt on the floor. To enter the bathroom area there were double swinging doors, but one of the doors was missing. The curtains for the window would did not go all the way up or down, and in the middle of the night we had to get up to fix the toilet because it kept making noise.

Deferred Maintenance Motel but Super Friendly Staff

We did not find the motel as rustic and charming as described by some guests - rather it lacks general maintenance. It also lacks general cleanliness. They “don’t like debit cards” so charged us an additional $150 that I now have to watch to be credited back on my account. The staff were super kind and the breakfast is delicious.

    So friendly but updates needed

Visited in January. They accidentally placed me in a room with plumbing issues. Were so kind. Returned part of my room charge. Served hot breakfast items, but the rest of the breakfast bar was shut down except for coffee. Time of year? Beautiful lodge that needs some updates.

    Dog friendly and hot breakfast

First off, they allow and love our pups! Second, the hot breakfast was delicious! The room is pretty much what you would expect for $90-100 a night and it being a historic hotel. The counters were VERY short and the bed frame was rickety. Our mountain view was stunning! I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re staying for a night. The next time we roll through for a night, this is where we will be staying.

    Dog Approved!!

Was a great location for our dog, but a little too far out of town for us humans. The hot breakfast was cooked to order. Very accommodating. Chris was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again with our fur baby.

The hot breakfast cooked to order was amazing. The room was nice and our dog appreciated the dog area. Bed was comfortable too.

    Easy

Easy check in process, plenty of room for the dogs. Although they didn’t offer any extras like water bowls, etc. Nice view of the mountains. Overall good experience

    Great place for us

The staff were accommodating and friendly. The facility as a whole was great for our dog walks.

I gave it three bones because the hotel is older and has quite a bit of deferred maintenance to be done.

Wi-Fi didn’t work most of the 4 days we were there. Our T-Mobile phones got pretty decent reception. Good TV service.

Even though all the rooms face the highway, I didn’t hear a lot of the noise in the evening and we were able to sit outside at night to enjoy the night sky. During the day, when sitting outside you do hear the trucks. All the rooms face the Dragoon mountains which is nice.

Because of Covid, we ordered take out for most of our meals which created a lot of trash but the hotel was accommodating and also the dumpster was across the parking lot so we took care of it easily.

Breakfast was not what it used to be

Let me start by saying that one of the main reasons that we chose the Lodge was the breakfast reviews. They have changed the breakfast. It’s now the typical continental hotel breakfast...nothing special at all. Also, the lodge is undergoing construction. We had construction happening on both sides of us. They had all furniture pulled from the rooms. The construction did stop at a decent hour, FYI. Overall, not a bad experience. Our room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Most importantly our dog, Chance, was welcome.

Would give it one-half bone if I could

The motel is a tired 60's type. The door security chain was broken and inoperative. The room's mattress' were more like box springs very uncomfortable. The divider between the bedroom and bathroom was swinging café doors but one side was missing. The bathroom shower greeted me with a cockroach. The bathroom's wall was either stained or moldy.
The advertised breakfast was supposed to start at 7am but they didn't even open the doors till 7:15 and then very sparse with the food, had to continually wait for it. Never got any eggs as they were continually out. I booked for 5 nights but finally left after 4, too uncomfortable.
