Our experience with this La Quinta was great. Clean room, tile floor and our dog was treated kindly. Limited green space for walking a dog, near a busy street. I would recommend.

The room was super comfortable! The staff was so kind to our pup. She got a lot of pets and love from the staff. She even was able to get a sausage from breakfast. By far the most dog friendly hotel I have stayed at!

This is our GO-TO hotel. Have stayed multiple times. Clean rooms with vinyl floors so no pet stained carpet. Great pet area. Friendly and helpful staff. Onsite washer and dryers. Lots of nearby restaurants. Always see more guests with dogs then without four legged companions.

The room was very clean and had pergo floors, which we felt was more sanitary. The room was large and had a big open play area and plenty of room for their beds. The stay was very comfortable, with easy access off the freeway. Highly recommend for traveling with pets.

We thoroughly enjoy this La Quinta. Great location, great rooms, great people. Our dog does very well here. That said, the pillows on the beds SUCK! They are flat and hard, no bend, no softness - just yucky rocks of polyester. So sad when everything else is so good.

Normally we love staying here - it’s our home away from home when we visit family and friends in the area. The reason for the low rating is due to that we had to move rooms halfway during our trip due to housekeeping staff smoking near the front door and smoke coming in our air conditioning/window in our second story room. We had to move our infant, dog and all of our belongings for a weeklong trip to a smaller, 3rd floor room - it wasn’t an easy or relaxing task. Again, normally it’s a great stay, but a smoke free hotel should be smoke free.

We arrived late with one child and 3 adults. We had reserved a 2 room king suite. Upon arrival we opened up the sofa bead only to discover that there was no bedding on it. After a trip to the front desk we were given a set of sheets, a blanket and 2 pillows to make up our own bed! Have never had to do that before, especially after paying a lot for the room.

Every pet owner we encountered had a leash on their pet of course. Also, no dogs ever barked at anyone!

I would have given them a 5 but I was disappointed when I first arrived. I had looked them up on BringFido but wasn’t sure if I would get to this destination or not. When I did arrive, they quoted me a higher price, I said I have this app with a lower price, they told me I could only get that price by using the app. So I sat in the lobby and booked using the app. As I was sitting doing this, the guy at the front desk offered someone on the phone the same price as the app, but this was about $20 less than what he quoted me just minutes before. Annoyed with check in and pricing for sure, but the property was very nice, clean, looks to be pretty new, good parking.

Very clean, very polite, friendly staff, and if you're pulling a boat good parking space. Thought pet fee was excessive and I have 2 dogs. Dog friendly space is barely adequate to poor. Comfortable beds. Nice if they'd place a tv card with stations in room. Won't go back there if I can avoid it but works in a pinch. This observation is in no way reflective of the staff or cleanliness of the facility in any way. There's just not much of a space to walk your dog(s).

Checking in was quick and the staff members were friendly to us and our dog. The room was clean and ready for us when we arrived. This is one of the nicest La Quinta's we have stayed in.

Friendly, accommodating place. Rooms were very clean and comforting and had a fridge & microwave. After 2 days on the road, we were relieved to stay somewhere that put not only us but our dogs at ease. Plenty of places to eat. Some within walking distance. Plenty of areas to walk the dogs. While I had heard that it can be hit or miss with La Quinta locations, I can say for definite that the La Quinta in Effingham is a hit in our book. We even booked it for our return trip and it did not disappoint the second time either.

After staying in a La Quinta in Annawan that was smelly and dirty, I had my reservations about another La Quinta but this changed my mind. Fresh and modern looking! Beds were surprisingly squeaky but comfortable. Breakfast options were minimal but under Covid times, understandable. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place to stay. They did seem to have a lot of road work crew members staying there. A lot of men hanging inside and outside the building which made me nervous as I was traveling alone with my dog.
The room was very nice except I was right outside the elevator and my dog was on alert all night long.
Pet peeve is PEOPLE DO NOT CLEAN UP AFTER THEIR DOGS!! There's literally trash cans and poop bags all around the hotel. Make sure you clean you dogs paws unless you want to share the fecal matter of 1000 dogs before you. - DanielJun 7, 2021Nice hotel

Love that the pet friendly rooms have no carpeting. Nice areas for walking dogs. Most guests clean up after pets but some still don't. Ugh!

Perfect location (next to a Cracker Barrel). Rooms have laminate floors so no smells. It was quick and easy for potty breaks. Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

This hotel was perfect for our first stop on a very long road trip. Ample room to walk your pups, great breakfast to start your day and the room was spacious and clean. We will definitely be staying here again next time we drive through!

I came back to this hotel a year later and my previous comments are still germaine. Though the La Quinta in Albeuqurque was the best for this trip.
Rules of Road#1: you get what you pay for. This was the BEST hotel I stayed at on my 8 night/9 day cross country driving trip. Very clean, modern, staff was very friendly and accommodating, breakfast was very good. Wallmart and multiple restaurants very close. When we first arrived in the room I noted some stains on the wall. I called the staff and they came immediately and cleaned them. There are 2 pet areas but on the downside both were out of bags.
