Reviews
- DaveApr. 20, 2022Great room and park
Huge and comfortable room and Forest Park is right across the street. Easy walk to their restaurants too.
- ChristopherJan. 7, 2021Overall Good!
It was a good hotel. Friendly with dogs, onsite parking, and the rooms were reasonably clean. This is definitely an unusual hotel, ancient but charming at the same time. It is difficult to get around.
- IanSep. 26, 2019Brilliantly dog friendly in a way you (might) find in England
My eleventh hotel in the US with a dog, and the first that hasn’t produced a sheaf of pet rules the minute you show up. The dog was welcomed with a bag of treats, they are relaxed about where you can go with the dog, there’s a bowl of water by the poolside bar, and you can have breakfast with your dog either in the relaxed lounge/lobby area or outside on a small (sadly noisy) roadside terrace.
The English theme is done tastefully rather than tackily and Americans can be reassured that you can still have burger for dinner and get you burnt bacon and coffee in a paper cup for breakfast. And the giant Forest Park is just along the road - reached either by a series of crossings on the busy junction, or by walking down the quiet residential streets across from the hotel and then crossing Skinker St a little way down.
I would have loved to have stayed here longer, if only for the relaxation that comes from not feeling that my furry friend is an imposition on the hotel.

Hotel Cheshire was warm and welcoming to a diverse group of guests (including canine ones). Beautiful patio, pool, breakfast, and common areas that we could enjoy with our dog. Our stay was full of pleasant surprises!
- TaraFeb. 2, 2019So Fun!
This place is incredible. The British theme is so fun, breakfast was AMAZING. The room was super clean and comfortable. We brought our two cats and they loved it. We’d love to come back!
- RaquelMore than a year ago100 percent recommended!
My husband and I stayed here during our cross country trip and all I can say this will be our go to hotel everytime we visit St Louis. The staff is truly pet friendly, they greeted our dogs (Amstaff, Shepherd and Chipit) and gave us complimentary dog treats. The hotel has a beautiful interior and plenty of amenities. Rooms are spacious and conveniently furnished. Forest park is right across and it's minutes from downtown St. Louis. Highly recommend it!
