Reviews
Travelers find the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel to be an exceptional pet-friendly establishment, with a welcoming staff, clean and comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful amenities for guests and their furry companions. Some visitors, however, note concerns about the high pet fee and limited outdoor space for dogs.

Great hotel, great location. We were welcomed and our furry friends loved their stay. What more could you ask? The hotel has a hip vibe. I felt the staff worked hard to make our experience a great one. Nice room, great midtown view, and quiet. The hotel was a great value, but parking was expensive. We were traveling at Christmas with a car full of presents, and we felt very confident our car was safe and secure. Factor in @ $50 for parking. We are formerly from Nashville, and this would be our go-to place.
- SueDec 18, 2023Great hotel
Excellent stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- BarbaraSep 3, 2023Gorgeous hotel
This hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The bed was SO comfortable. Rooms are stunning, though a bit on the small side. They are very dog friendly here, but it was a little tough parking in the garage and having to take 2 different elevators to our room. I don’t mind for myself but with a large dog with a torn CCL it was a little challenging. For being in the city, they did have a small green space out front. Very nice hotel, would definitely stay here again.
- JoyceSep 3, 2023Beautiful and clean!
Very clean, staff was great. They gave us a free bag of goodies for our dog. Several green spaces with doggie bags and trash can. Would highly recommend.
- MarkAug 16, 2023Great Hotel
Staff was super accommodating for a great Dane, room was perfect!
- RichardMar 17, 2023Absolutely Exceptional
A wonderful and delightful place to stay. Very upscale property with stunningly designed rooms and common spaces. Staff are extremely welcoming, helpful and professional. Convenient self park or valet park (for a fee). Only negative was lack of a fridge except for a minibar fridge which is fully stocked so you have to take a few things out to put anything in. A small inconvenience. Great city views and comfortable beds, just lovely. Nice grassy area to bring dogs to do their business with bags and waste can.
- StephanieFeb 21, 2023Great staff
Very welcoming to my dog. Easy access to pet relief area.
- RachelleDec 9, 2022Super dog friendly
Our dogs each got some beautiful treats as well as a dog dish and may❤️ And was a beautiful hotel with an awesome breakfast!!!
- MatthewDec 1, 2022Loews was great!
Very welcoming to dogs. Lovely bag of dog gifts (bowl, mat, treat). Could not have been better.
- PaigeNov 20, 2022Very pet accommodating!
The staff loved interacting with our pups, and they supplied a surprise goodie bag at check in.
- LuisJul 4, 2022Outstanding customer service
There is a spot for the pets to go and do their business. Also, staff gave complimentary dog bowls.
- JessicaJun 11, 2022Will stay again!
Very nice place on outskirts of city. SUPER convenient grass areas right out front. Nice open front patio where you and dogs can sit with carry out food.
- CherisseMay 24, 2022They Treated Her Like Gold
From the first encounter, my fur baby was one of their family and that felt amazing. Very welcoming staff no matter where we went on the grounds. I will definitely recommend this hotel to any fur parents who are in Nashville.
- AbiFeb 28, 2022Stay here!
We loved staying in this hotel! We were upgraded on arrival to an even better room & our pup was shown so much love. She got her own doggie bag with placemat, food bowl, ample treats & doggie poop bag keychain. So clean & modern with all of the amenities. Comfortable bed & great shower. Our room was right off the elevator but it was still very quiet. Definitely pup approved & would stay here again!!
- MalerieJan 1, 2022Great
Wonderful time with family and furry love!
- ChristinDec 19, 2021Great location, very pet friendly
The Loews Vanderbilt is one of the most pet-friendly places we have stayed. There is a $50 pet fee per stay (that included our two dogs). We were given bowls and mats and treats at check-in. Lovely hotel. Very clean. Very nice staff. Good restaurant on site. The only issue was a dog barked incessantly on our floor for a few hours (trust me...I'm a very understanding dog owner), and we eventually had to call the front desk, and it stopped shortly. Would definitely stay again.

😍😍
- DeborahAug 24, 2021Lovely hotel
Loews Vanderbilt was a perfect location for us moving our boys to school and to stay with our dog. However, the hotel did not have us booked in a pet friendly room upon arrival. BringFido rate for Loews was the best I could find, so thanks for saving me $$.
- CrystalJul 26, 2021Loews Nashville
Beautiful, friendly, clean and great location. Very, very dog friendly.
- AshleyJul 19, 2021Love the Hotel
I love this hotel, and we have stayed a few times now. The location is great and the staff is always extremely kind and helpful. Next time I travel through, I will absolutely stay again. The only thing I wish they had was a list of dog-friendly restaurants nearby; when we asked for suggestions, they didn't have any. Luckily we found one right behind the hotel that was great!
- SallyJun 17, 2021Loews ain’t what it used to be
We have stayed at Lowe’s all over and have always felt welcomed and comfortable in a high quality hotel and an exceptional experience. Maybe it’s just post COVID but what a horrible experience. Staff couldn’t care less even when I let them know there were a pair of large man’s dirty underwear left just under the bed in our room. We told housekeeping who said have a nice day and front desk said sorry about that. Only the morning valet upon check out was upset about our experience. No plastic bags in dog poop area and too many dogs for area provided. Dining room was closed and Mason bar was filthy. Paid $15 for a Moscow mule with no detectable vodka or ginger beer. Used to get a welcome bag with poop bags and dog treats etc. No bellman when we checked in so self parked and lugged our own luggage cart. We go thru Nashville every year on our way north. Will have to find different accommodations going forward.
- NickJun 6, 2021Lowes Vanderbilt awesomely pet-friendly!
Not sure if “awesomely” is a word or not, but I can’t think of a better word to describe the service and accommodations! There was an error in the booking process between Fido and Lowes (the reservation did not identify that we had a dog) that the Lowes’ team rectified with ease and made us feel right at home. Then, they gave us a welcome package with a dog bowl, dog bags, and some other goodies. The hotel was beautiful, immaculate, and the service was amazing! Worth every penny!
- ANTHONYMay 29, 2021Good location, very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff.
Welcoming to our two pups. $50 pet fee, but you get a goodie bag. Minimal but sufficient outdoor grassy area. EV charging and parking are extra. Nice room.
- TammieMar 31, 2021Just don't!
I was looking for a hotel that was pet-friendly, not just pet tolerant for a week in Nashville. The Lowe's website makes it seem the perfect choice. I had not stayed at a Lowe's before but thought I'd give it a try. They have the worst communication and customer service. We called several times to ensure our big dogs were welcome and that we were on the pet friendly floors. It was in the notes on our reservation. Guess what? Yep, they didn't have it.
We have not traveled much due to pandemic but we have been to a few other places. All were very clear upon making reservations about what amenities were and were not available, Not so here. Be prepared to be underwhelmed by the level of 'love' Lowes has for your pet. No treats, no pet beds (glad we brought our own), no leashes or special pet menu. Green space means the little piece of grass next to the driveway. No pet sitting numbers or walking maps or suggestions for places that are pet friendly although you will sign a paper saying you received it. The special pet menu is discontinued due to pandemic, which I get, but would have liked that info up front.
To top it off, we were informed by note shoved under our door at 8pm on our 4th night that the water was to be shut off from 10pm to 6am for valve mainainance? How do you not mention that little tidbit at check in?
We have tried to speak to anyone with any level of authority and no response. Pre pandemic I was downtown Chicago often and wondered about the Lowes but I will keep with Kimpton. Not only not so pet friendly but not so people friendly either. - DariceFeb 3, 2021Nice and clean
Very nice. No designated dog area though and it’s a little scary with the homeless people roaming around to walk dog.
- KimmyAug 29, 2020Great experience!
We just stayed two nights at the Loews Vanderbilt and it was a wonderful experience. The staff bent over backwards to make us feel welcome, especially our puppy Charlie. This was our first experience traveling with our furbaby so we didn’t know what to expect. While we were on the pet floor, the room was very nice and clean. No smells. There is a $50 pet fee over the course of stay but that seemed reasonable. We highly recommend this hotel with or without a furbaby.
- JohnnyJul 1, 2020Great stop
Very friendly staff. Very nice room. Very easy with a pet and easy access to going out in Nashville. Only knock, bunch of little add ons, $35 day for parking and $50 for dog fee. Otherwise loved it.
- JasonMar 21, 2019Very Dog Friendly!
Staff does a great job with the doggo!
- CyndiMore than a year agoLoews Loves Pets
This is our second time staying at a Loews and we were happy again. Their staff is amazing. Each and every person we encountered was patient, helpful and cheerful.
The beds are very comfortable, the showers have great hot pressure, air conditioning nice and cold, king room is good sized. Everything was nice quality and worked well. Room service was excellent- we had steak, fish and chips and desert. The bread pudding and bourbon ice cream were top notch.
This hotel is genuinely dog friendly, not just tolerant. Give goodie bags to the dogs at check in and our Rocky got love from numerous people every time we were in the public areas. You never feel like your dog is unwelcome there. The pet fee may seem a little steep at $50 but they certainty put it to good use in cleaning both inside and out so it never looks or smells like there have been a lot of dogs there! Dog potty area is small but enough for my Great Dane to get his business done. Bags and disposal provided.
Great location in the middle of everything, which is always the case for Loews. We would go back anytime we pass through Nashville again. Thank you! Whitney on Nov. 28, 2021 Kevin on Oct. 28, 2021 Wilmer on May. 24, 2021
