We needed a room while traveling with our large senior dog. The property was older but perfectly fine for our needs. We were on third floor and I didn't notice any unfortunate odors. The free breakfast was great--some proteins and not just donuts and waffles. Would stay again when we are in the area.

The room was large enough, but showed signs of hasty renovations, i.e. the ceiling painting wasn't finished, the desk chair covering was peeling. There was only 1 hanger in the closet. Our room was on the 3rd floor and the hallway carpet was badly stained, although there were no animal smells in the hall or the room. When you're on the pet floor, you can't expect pristine conditions...I think some don't realize that. The pet walk area was behind the building but without a bag receptacle. I would stay again because of price, location and overall comfort... the bed was great and a nice selection on the breakfast bar.

We’ve stayed here before and had a good experience. This time we arrived at 6:30pm and had to wait until 7:30pm for our room. The dogs were exhausted, hungry, and thirsty - with nowhere for us to go and wait due to the heat. We were told there was no other available room and yet we could see at least 12 empty rooms with curtains open and windows with no light as we walked around the building. We also didn’t receive the room we reserved. We had reserved a single king deluxe room so we had room for two large dog crates. We got two double beds without room for two crates without climbing over them all night. Housekeeping was lovely and apologetic. But the front desk clerk was rude and non-accommodating. She spent most of her time outside smoking. On a positive note, there are plenty of places to walk dogs around the building and it’s kept mowed. And when we finally got our room, it was clean.

3 years ago this was a very nice experience. This past trip however was horrible. The first room wreaked of cat urine, the second room had NO heat on a night that was freezing, and the third room which I ended up staying was tolerable. The tv remote did not work in the room I stayed in but compared to the other rooms that was just fine. Having a pet I stayed on the first floor but I noticed that the elevators were out of order. The staff was very friendly but good gracious the hotel needs some love.

Everything looked great. Beds were awesome. Breakfast was great. Problem: mold. The place needs a mold test and then follow mediation to clear it up. Still can't clear that smell out of my CPAP machine. Both of us woke up with headaches.

We were driving to Corpus Christi and needed a place to stop for the night. Choose this hotel based on the review on this site and we were not disappointed. Rooms are very nice sized, super clean and the staff is wonderful. Full breakfast in the morning was a nice surprise and very much appreciated by us. Ample room around the property to walk your dogs but be careful - a lot of other Fido owners are definitely not doing their "doody". That is not the fault of the property - they can't help lazy pet owners. When we travel back to Tennessee and need a half way point we would definitely stay here again. No pet fee is a huge plus!

After 16 hours in the car,we entered a large quiet clean room far enough off the interstate to be peaceful.
Great walking area too.
Our two dogs were thankful and so were we.
