    Great location but no breakfast

The property is away from town and set on a hill with a lot of surrounding grounds, mostly grass. Our dog loved exploring and running off leash. We were the only guests the first night and only a couple more the following night. The room was large and well equipped. There is a frig to store dog food, and wine.
No breakfast was being served due to Covid-19. There are very few breakfast places in town and most are closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

    The Royal Treatment

On our anniversary trip, we stayed in the lovely Innkeeper's cottage with beautiful mountain views. At the Wilburton, pups and their parents are treated like royalty. Cavaliers King Charles Spaniels even get to stay for free. Our pup, Serafina met her Prince Charming in the adorable pup concierge, Jetson. Jetson is very friendly and just loves belly rubs. Everyone at the Wilburton was so friendly and welcoming. My family had a great time exploring the area and just relaxing by the fire in the large living area. If you're ever in Vermont, check out the Wilburton Inn and you'll get to meet Jetson too. We can't wait to visit there again for the fall foliage season.

    Fabulous!

Fabulous stay at this comfortable and quite unique inn. Innkeeper Melissa, doggy concierge Jetson and all the staff were delightful, welcoming and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. Breakfasts were delicious and substantial, and the villa rooms are just perfect if you bring your dogs as the outside is only steps away. In fact, this has to be the most pet friendly place that we have ever stayed at. The Wilburton is a treasure, and we will certainly return!

    Happiness for Happy!

Our rescue dog made his first foray on vacation with us staying at the Wilburton Inn. He loved it, beyond anything we could have imagined. He played with Jetson, the resident dog concierge and met other dogs staying on the property. It was a joy for all of us. The Wilburton is just such a welcoming place. The innkeepers are beyond welcoming, the adopt you the minute you walk in the door. Happy's happiness and comfort made the rest of our family's stay so much more fun. Hiking the hills nearby with the dog was just so much fun for all of us. Looking forward to going back.

    Wonderful and welcoming!

We chose to come to the Inn for a birthday weekend, cross country skiing and visiting the New England villages at Christmas time - and we chose a place that accepted dogs. We didn’t actually know that we had stumbled across a special dog slumber party weekend! Our dog Loki is an Australian Shepherd - very lively, young and a bit wild, and we had no idea we would be walking in on a group of Cavaliers with Christmas sweaters on!! Loki wasn’t quite what everyone was expecting but they didn’t miss a beat! We absolutely loved the hospitality and the incredible social history associated with the Inn, the fascinating Creativity Museum and the owners ideas about the healing powers of creativity ( I bought three books from him for my classes!) as well as the deep powder snow and gorgeous setting. My seven year old son was very upset to leave and decided he wants to live there forever! Thank you for making my weekend so special.

    Awesome Experience

This was our first trip to Vermont and our first extended road trip with our 60lb lab mix Rocky. Melissa, Jetson, and the entire staff made us feel like we've known them all or our lives. They treated Rocky like a guest pampering him with snacks and pets, and welcoming him basically everywhere except other guest's private rooms. The inn and grounds are spectacular, yet inviting and cozy. The daily breakfast is dog friendly, truly a wonderful meal, and the view from the room brings the surrounding mountains almost to your table. We stayed in Strawberry Hill Villa, which has several private bedrooms/baths with a common living room, laundry, and kitchen. It was perfect for our five day stay! We also enjoyed exploring Manchester, hiking Mt Olga and Equinox Pond, and visiting Hildene. In short, we can't wait to return. The Wilburton Inn is more than dog friendly, it's dog heaven.

A wonderful Inn in Manchester VT

Melissa and Jetson (her Cavalier King Charles spaniel) provide an excellent Inn with wonderful rooms, a great breakfast and lead a fantastic staff to look after you.
The location has beautiful views and the outside art objects are a treat. We had previously stayed at the Equinox but much prefer the Wilburton and have already booked a return for next October!!

    Wilburton Christmas Doggie Party

My husband and I have 2 dogs, and while we love them like crazy, we haven't really brought them many places with us. One of our dogs is quite anxious and it has always been easier to take her to places she is familiar with. Our best friends have been to the Wilburton 3 times this year with their King Charles Cavalier and talked us into booking on this weekend of the christmas party. I really can't say enough about the time that we had. It was amazing! For the dogs and the humans too! Our room was great, but especially because it adjoined to our friend's room, which was essentially an apartment. The dogs felt right at home, and right outside the door was a gorgeous hillside for them to run around on. It even magically started to snow while they were playing. Our anxious dog did so well! She had a great time, showed interest in meeting other dogs without baring her teeth, and was welcomed by everyone. There was a professional dog photographer who captured the most magical photos. Melissa, the Innkeeper, is a wonder. In the evening we returned to the main house for a "slumber party" and had cocoa and sang carols by the fireplace. It really warmed my heart and did feel reminiscent of my favorite Christmas movie, White Christmas. Highly recommend!!! Oh, and the food was great too:)
